What are my chances with IVF? Advice Please!

Hi Ladies!

My husband & I are leaning towards IVF if nothing happens by the end of this year.. Our Dr. said that IVF with ICSI is our best option.

I wanted to know if our chances are pretty good with IVF plus ICSI... My Uterus & tubes are fine & ALL my tests came back normal. The only issue we have is my husband has low sperm count & low motility. He is currently taking Fertility Blend for men to help the sperm.

Do we have a good chance with IVF with ICSI? (That is what our Dr. recommends)
Any success stories with the same issue we have? Thank you in advance!

We keep being told by various medical people that my age is a huge factor in our chances of success for ivf with icsi. Luckily I am on the right side of the age factor so it works in our favour.

I'm sorry I can't be more helpful; presumably the contributing factors are different for everyone so I'm only going on what we were told.

We are going down the ivf with icsi route as my husbands sperm had to be surgically retrieved due to azoospermia. The don't seem to think this will affect our chances.

Thanks for the reply! By the time we do ivf with ICSI, if it doesn't happen by November naturally... My husband and I will both be 29 yrs old. So hopefully our chances are good since its his count that is our only issue. We haven't had our consultation yet, but the dr said ivf with ICSI is our best bet. I'm hoping we get a miracle and we don't have to do ivf. But if we have to we will.

How low are his count and motility may I ask?
I would imagine your chances at ICSI are pretty good, as they only need one good quality sperm injected with a glass needle into the egg. But it also depends on the quality of the eegs/blastocysts, etc.

Myself and DH have been told we have good chances with IVF with ICSI.
DH has 1% Morphology and most of my results are okay (AMH levels are a little on the low side). I'm 22 and my DH is 29

My husband had low count, slow motility, low volume and his morphology was 99-100% abnormal. ICSI worked for us first try! All my tests came back normal.

We had the same issues...low sperm count but I checked out completely fine! The doctor gave me a 50-50 chance of conceiving on the first try with four 3day embryos and I conceived on our first round of ICSI!

I was afraid it was going to be unsuccessful because I only had 9 eggs retrieved out of which 5 fertilized...and as silly as it sounds I was worried since I had no side effects other than headaches while all around me I kept hearing about women with 20+ eggs!!

Take good care of yourself and drink loooaaads of water, but above all else think positive and keep yourself happy during your cycle!

I'm in the same boat... I seem to be completely fine other than hyperactive NK cells, which I'm treating with Intralipid infusions and Prednisone. DH has low morphology and "diminished maturity and psychological functioning" of his sperm. We were just told last week that IVF with ICSI is basically our only option. We are hoping to do our first IVF in late June. I was told that we had a 50-60% chance of conceiving with IVF/ICSI.
