hiya all i have never had normal contractions or labour pains coz all my babies were bk to bk so could you please help and give me a few sighns to keep an eye out for as this ikkle girl is positioned the right way this time xxxxxxxxx

I personally had a tensing of the stomach which became really painful. I have to say I don't remember exactly now, although I do know once it starts you will know. :D Good Luck

well i been getting period cramps and my tummy goes really tight and megga pain full lower bk pain and sickness and tmi soz the runs but hossy say its nothin

I woke up with little pains low down, at first they felt like perios pains. My tummy wasnt tightening just kept getting pains. I told my mum and she was like your in labour! They kept coming, they got stronger and eventually my tummy started tightening. What is back labour like? xx

Sounds like Braxton Hicks to me I never had any with my other 4 pregnancies but get them this time. Odd how each one is different..

I didn't get anything like period pains, I had sharp pains down on my cervix which built up to a climax then dwindled. I knew it was contractions coz I'd never had anything like them before.

I was induced with cervidil and the pain started like dull low back pain for me. Eventually it became regular and came and went and would get so uncomfortable that I would have to move and rock. It started to spread around to the front and felt like a tightening sensation. By the time real severe contractions started they were tight, menstrual=like cramps that started in my back and spread to the front and I couldn't do anything but breathe. I know I always hated to hear it while I was waiting but when it becomes more than a dull backache you will know that it is labour!

Oh crap! Isnt there an easier way to get this baby out!

I'm waiting for them to invent a "beam me up scotty" type contraption to get bubs out:rofl:. Do you think this will happen in the next 4 months?:dohh:

Ok I started having contractions last night, and did not know what the hell was happening, lol. Mine are at the top of my bump and hurt, hurt, hurt. They are not really coming in waves. My bump is getting soooo hard. I called the hospital because I also have gallstones and I thought I was having a gallstone attack. They told me that real contractions often do start up high on your bump. I thought they had started down low, because I have been having tight period pains through out the week. Apparently the real ones will be up high at first.

I hope this makes sense, because I am in pain atm with them. :(

it depends.I have had one normal labour and it was all in my belly and just a bit tight nothing unbearable. But I also had 2 back to back labours and oh my bloody god AGONY.It feels like a big kick in the back and then goes round to the front and just unbearable pain like iI cant describe. This one is sticking bum out front so I'm hoping its a front delivery. As for runs, period pains, increase of discharge, feeling sick, low backache, tiredness I have it all and it has increased in the last week so god knows whats going on.Hope you get some relief soon xx
