What are your little ones wearing to bed in this heat? Isla is just in her short sleeved best and a nappy, debating whether to put a thin blanket over her?
It's winter in New Zealand, but my bigger kids were born when it's hot here. My son just wore a nappy and light swaddle, Sophie didn't seem to get as hot and had nappy, vest or sleep suit and swaddle.
Ive just asked this in another thread, so far I've been putting him in a vest and sleepsuit without blanket but tonight I'm thinking just vest and see how it goes through your the night?
Last night it was 27 in our room so I'm expecting it to be warmer in there tonight.
It's super hot here. Like 90s hot which is 32+ Celsius. But obviously much cooler at night. We do have the air conditioning tho that keeps it around 70-75ish which is 21-24 Celsius. But she wears her pajamas which are a short sleeve top and pants or shorts and a cotton sleep sack. We've tried no sleep sack a few times and it hasn't gone over well.
I live in South Florida, where it's pretty warm all year. We do have the air conditioner set to the same temperature year-round, but I do worry about dressing him too warmly for bed over the summer. Lately, I've been putting him in thin pajamas (preferably footless) and an Aden + Anais sleep sack. We have several sleep sacks, but I think that the Aden + Anais ones are the most breathable ones, and are the best for the warm weather.
A short sleeve T-Shirt or Onesie and I have a cotton knit blanket that I put over his legs and feet. If I notice he gets to warm at night I take it off and roll it up behind his back (when I am hot I do that with my blanket and it keeps me more comfortable than completely blanket free)
