What are your Easter basket plans?

I don't know anyone who actually celebrates Easter in a big way but these ideas sound so cute might have to do something for LO :)

I've probably gone OTT but I am American and my parents always made a big deal at Easter. Problem is my LO's birthday is only like two weeks after Easter this year. :dohh:

My LO is also Peppa pig and car mad so it is mostly full of PP/car stuff: PP Easter egg set with plastic bowl/spoon/cup and chocolate egg. PP Easter book and that's not my Lamb. PP and cars stickers, PP colouring book and 3 matchbox cars.

I got the plastic eggs but didn't know what to put in them and not sure if LO would understand trying to find them. I wanted to put the matchbox cars in them but they don't fit so may save the eggs until next year.

I love the sensory eggs idea! I'm definitely going to do that!

Treats wise...2 kinder eggs, a few chocolate bunny lollipops and a Mr Tumble set with bowl/spoon/cup and a little chocolate egg. I found a full set of the Bob the builder vehicles 2nd hand on eBay and that's his toys. He doesn't pay much attention to the show but he's car mad so I think he'll love it!

Rylan is getting a small kinder egg egg off us and some socks. His birthday is a week after. I may get him a chuggington train too. I've instructed family members who won't be offended to either get him a book or a digger or a train as last year, my 11 month old son got 15 easter eggs which was obscene! He only usually has chocolate as a treat and as we need to get his weight stable before he can start treatment on his feet, I don't want him having loads of eggs this year.

My son has a wicker basket which we put his chocolate eggs into. We did try the plastic eggs which come apart but he still puts everything in his mouth so it's too dangerous. He will also have a Thomas the tank engine DVD and a wooden xylophone. I'm not sure what family are doing.

It's my birthday on Easter Sunday, I think I should get a wicker basket full of chocolate too :)

Both kids are getting chocolate eggs with Smarties inside & a chocolate bunny. Hannah is getting a couple of Berenstain bears dvds (she's 5) and Rhys is getting a Thomas book (almost 2).

I've never heard of an Easter basket. We've always just done Easter egg hunts (hidden by the Easter bunny of course) and that's what I plan to do with LO. I've also never heard of people giving gifts on Easter, it's usually pretty specific to chocolate here!

DD doesn't have chocolate at all so won't be getting any eggs although we might get some white chocolate buttons for her. When my sister and
I were younger we got books instead of Easter eggs so we've carried that on. I might get her some Easter related craft things as well though.

We do easter egg hunts well easter bunny does and they have a few eggs each only 2 for ds2 actually as hes cmpi so its difficult. We have also bought them a couple of small garden toys like bucket and spade, new sand for sand pit, big bubble wands, cricket set and mega bloks easter bag for ds2. Family all buy them summer clothes.
