what counts as CD1?

i'm new to all of this charting my cycle, taking my temp etc so would like a bit of advice please. I have started to spot today like i always do before my af this usually goes on for a couple of days and then i get a steady flow, so do i class today as CD1 or wait for the full flow and then start counting? i'm having my coil removed on the 9th June so if i start counting from today i'm not gonna be able to attempt to get a BFP this month as i probably will have already ovulated before my appointment

yes you start CD1 as the day of full flow...I usually start day 1 as the day I need to use a pad.

Yep, first day of full red flow. Brown spotting before that is old blood and doesn't count.
