what did you buy today that you didn't intend to?

Erm, I went to Morrisons for nappies because their own basic brand are actually good and only £1.41. I spent £150 in Morrisons and Asda on yet more kids clothes, a new saucepan, an ice lolly mould, 2 boxes of cereal, a bottle brush, Avent teats and dummies ready for the new baby! Ridiculous. xxx

I went in to wh smiths for a browse and walked out with a colouring book and the new Julia Donaldson for Lyssa x

Oh dear, so much for bargain nappies!
The ice lolly moulds will be hugely appreciated though and you'd have needed the cereal and baby stuff soon enough. Xx

Im awful for this.. Today was probably the cheapest day in a long time, went to the mall to exchange a pair of shorts for OH, bought 2 pair of shoes for LO, then went to the store for eggs and got all sorts of other stuff we definitely didn't need, and nothing that goes together to make a decent meal!

yesterday I went to the store to get some pouches for LO, came out with 2 candles, Pajamas for LO, 4 full outfits 2 packs of socks & pajamas for my nephew (he desperately needed some new stuff though) 2 hooded towels, 2 sets bath toys, set of washcloths, a robe, and a stuffed animal and a couple gift bags (Some friends are having babies) along with a few random snacks and stuff for me and OH

I have to put a stop on myself. Once I've got something in my basket I wonder around looking at other stuff, quite often sense kicks in before I get to the check out and a little voice in my head points out that I already have more of 'those' than I'll ever need. It's the quick shopping trips that are the worst because I'm already back in the car before my internal voice says anything.

That voice only seems to tell me I don't need things for me. I buy for my DD (who has more clothes in each size up to 3T than she will ever wear and more toys than I can fit in my and my parents houses.) My dog and my nephew without feeling any guilt- and I spend tons.. but I cant buy a pair of socks for myself without asking if its really necessary.

Glad I'm not the only one who does this. I always pop to the shop for one thing and come out with a basket full :dohh:

Yep, went online to request a return with next for a dress and then ended up buying a onesie, Adidas hi tops and a swim costume for LO and a outfit for baby! And forgot to re order my dress lol

We went to Asda this afternoon and nipped into pets at home first

Ended up almost 100 quid lighter and left with a hamster and cage etc

Had to come straight home without going into Asda and now have no food for tea so about to phone Chinese

I went to do the weekly shop at Aldi today and ended up going round the nearby shopping area which happens to be my favourite charity shopping spot! Got a brand new pair of H&M dungarees, 5 books and a Stardust Kids T-shirt for £7, yay for indulging my love of shopping on a budget :happydance:

Just today i went to get soap for my dh. (3$)
Walked out with a cart full of stuff. Bubble bath stuff, clothes (as if ds really needed more), random food items (nothing that i can use for dinner), bug repelent for my lo, neosporin (witch we have plenty of), and a few other things..

Usually I go buy a pint of milk and come back with £60 worth of shopping...no milk though.

Worst time, went to GoOutdoors to buy a Pop Up Tent for the beach, came back with a 6 man tent, 4 x camping chairs, cooking stove, blow up mattresses, sleeping bags, trousers and coat for DS1 and a coat for me! Oh and the Pop Up Tent too. DH has now banned me from entering that shop unescorted.

Oh my, that's a warning for me not to take DS to pets at home! Bouncy castles and cloths are easier to put away at the end of the night. Good luck with the hamster, what did you call it?

I'm beginning to wonder how we can possibly still be in financial melt down, we all seem to be doing a pretty good job of boosting our local economies!

Brilliant! And another good warning for me. I've promised DS that I'll take him on his first camping trip next week. I was planning a quick trip to gooutdoors to pick him up a sleeping bag, I should have everything else - although a couple a new sleeping mats and what about...
