tut tut Toria, thats £250 she could be out blowing when she's 18

I'm sooooooooooo shit  I don't even know what you're meant to do with it

I chose a savings account, with the current climate and the potential risk i decided that i would rather have a guaranteed £250 than lose on it, i know you could earn more but you could also end up at a loss.

What can i say, im not really a "gambling" woman

just picked what i wanted, went into the bank from the list and saw a person at a desk lol

See I looked at it the other way to you Holly I put it into shares because share prices are so low at the moment its the time to buy in my opinion and 18 years is a long time!

x

I played it safe and opened a savings account for Hannah

i put mine in an account that invests, it was doing well, but has gone down with the recession, so hoping it picks up again soon.

Toria- if you dont do it by the time caitlin is 1, then they will decide for you and invest it in account they choose.

I've opened a savings account so i know he won't lose any money. I'm just going to pay into it at birthdays and christmas so there's a bit extra

Chloe's is in th building society bog standard savings. at least then she can get back what we put in!

I put dylan and harrys both in savings accounts at nationwide, theyre really high intesest as well, dylan has already gained a lot of interest in his

Thats the same bank as we chose for Hannah. You get some bonus interest if you add so much extra each year as well.

Planning on a savings account. Can you set up a direct debit to put money in each month?

I opened a stakeholder account for Lucas, and set up a direct debit to pay £15 per month into it.

Does anyone know if you can change the account at anytime ?

I have til the end of this month I have already filled in the forms for Natwest savings account but I keep forgetting to go in!
