What do i do if..... UPDATED pg4

As you are probably aware we went for our private scan today and found our bubba had no heatbeat im booked in for an erpc tommorrow. Little info is the sac is still growing but the baby isnt, im sooo scared im not going to get through the night without the m/c starting and i just want to know what to do? what it will be like? can i cope without going to the hospital? do i still go to the hospital tommorrow? is it terribly painful?

also i must add since i got home my stumach has gone hard and im getting a bit of mild constant cramp/ tightnings and cramps in my thighs... xxx

you can ring up your local hospital and ask to speak to a dr in gynie and theyl tell you weather to come in or stay home, but if it gets into full swing all you can do is get a hot water bottle paracetamol drink to keep hydrated and just let nature take its course. I was told to stay home when i rang with my 2nd m/c and within 4 hours i passed the baby.

im not going to lie to you tara, the pain will be quite bad but a hot water bottle and paracetamol will help, DONT take asprin that will make the bleeding worse.

Thanks Tracey hun! you really helped earlier! and thats what im thinking cause if i ever used to think i was pg i wouldnt come on period but as soon as i got bfn my mind would take over and period would start, im thinking thats whats going to happen. Just gotta ride it through. if you dont mind me asking hun how far were u? xxxxxx

with my second i was 8 weeks, with my 4th i was 10 weeks, you wont see the baby just the sac, itl be very bloody and very protected, you wont see baby as such just the sac withing a clot. * i had to catch mine in a dish the last time*
I found out at 10 weeks baby had died at 7 and like you i had all symptoms but on the sunday i started to bleed a little by monday i was already *in a state of labour* because of the tablets.

its awful i passed out after i passed the baby but i was severly dehydrated so drink water even if u feel sick * which you most probally will* just sip water.

Thanks Tracey. That sounds awful hun!! im sooo sorry for ur experiences!! i have decided the first sign of blood im phoning nhs direct, anything more than light bleeding im phoning ambulance and going to hospital, will get strong pain relief then. Im such a wimp with pain and blood and thats what scares me! i need to get a pair of balls!!

you do what ever you feel you need to chick i chose natural all 4 times because it helps me in the greiving process. and all that a hospital will give you is paracetamol chick.. thats all they gave me, the woman wouldnt leave me alone i swear she was trying to knock me out lol

So sorry for your loss.

With my first mc i had a erpc. Heartbeat stopped after 8+5 and found out at 12 wks.

I went for the erpc becasue the consultant told me that it was going to be very painful if i decided to have it naturally. She told me that i'd probably end up in a&e from the pain.

With the erpc i went into hospital at 7am, they immediately gave me a tablet to soften the cervix and within a couple of hours i went under GA to have op.

The tablet gave me really bad stomach cramps and after the op i have to admit it was painful for a day or so. The bleeding wasnt so bad as i thought it was going to be. The first four days was really heavy but then it went down. They gave me a variety of painkillers for the pain but i didnt need it. Although everybody is different.

Another reason why i took the op option was becasue the thought of passing the sac, the heavy bleeding and the thought of the pain scared the life out of me.

i am booked in for the op tommorrow. i have to go in for 12noon but im soo scared this is going to start naturally, the pain and cramps are getting worse and im petrified of it starting before i get to have the erpc. Its such a horrible thing to deal with isnt it x

Hi Dan-o i remember reading what happened to you and was absolutley devastated for you!! its horrible, i think if i can manage to get to the erpc i will be ok cause i dont have to deal with what has to happen but im just soo scared it happens naturally. Can i ask after u found out and before ERPC did u get cramps and tightnings like it was going to start naturally? im soo sorry for what u went through too! xxx
