I don't have any as of yet, but I want to be prepared for em. I know cocoa butter is good, but brands?

Bio oil is supposed to be good for stretch marks, I haven't.got any yet (touch wood) but I've already bought some just in case :L my OH swears by it, it doesn't get rid of them completely but it greatly reduced the appearance :) it's expensive though, but I saw something today that looks exactly the same but for a fraction of the price - I think it was called regen-oil

Vitamin E oil is good and so is Bio oil. I would started lathering on Coco Butter as its good to keep your skin moisturized.. It's helps it's stretch better. However stretch marks are more genetic then anything.

I didn't know that. I guess ill have to wait and see.

Personally I don't think anything helps. I feel it's more of a 'if you get them you get them' kind of thing

I'm 20 weeks so far and have zero so far! I'm not too worried about getting them but I've been using coconut oil daily lathering it on. I've heard cocoa butter works and mostly I think the point is just keeping really moisturized!

Stretchies are just inevitable for some women, but either way it's good to keep that bump nice and moist so it doesn't itch and what not. My mom has tons of stretch marks from my brother and I, but I know women who've gotten huge and had very few stretch marks- some even fade almost completely away.

I'm almost hoping for a few little marks to show for my hard work ! haha, my boyfriend keeps searching for them. He has stretch marks on his legs and arms from growing and working out, and I have crazy stretch marks on my legs from growth spurts in the past, so both of us are pretty keen on the marks.

Sorry for like my life's story and opinion on stretch marks, haha... but yeah! coconut oil is my full body moisturizer.

Haha, okay. I'll have to be looking into something for moisturizing I suppose. I have these weird little bumps in patches on my belly and I have no idea what they are. Maybe they're just dry spots.

Nothing :haha:
You can't prevent them as they are genetic, though a good Vitamin E moisturiser keeps your skin lovely :)

Stretch marks aren't really preventable but try and keep your skin as hydrated as possible.

Just what the other girls said, unfortunately if stretch marks run in the family, chances are you are going to get them regardless of how much you spend on various products. I always knew my family's skin isn't very stretchy and we get a lot of stretch marks, so I just accepted it when I got pregnant with my first, and my god did I get stretch marks!! Lol! I look like a tiger! XD they've faded over time, but they'll never go away completely.

I agree and was just about to say this, I used bio oil and palmers and still got stretch marks!

Thanks ladies. I guess ill just try and keep moisture on my belly, and if I get my momma marks, I get em. :)

I use Dr. Palmer's Belly Butter. It smells great! It has lavender in it :) It also has collagen and some other ingredients that are meant to prevent/repair stretch marks.

I am already getting them, but none on my belly! I have them on my thighs and butt. My mom got them there too during pregnancy, so like most posters have mentioned... it really is genetic. BUT they are white and not purple/pink like hers were! Not sure if this has anything to do with the stretch mark cream or not, but I still like applying it every night before bed. Gives me and my man some special time to bond with the bump <3

Unfortunately if you're gonna get them, you'll get them! I put on bio oil and coco butter everyday and I was covered!

Stretch marks come from deeper then the top layer of skin. so rubbing creams on them sadly wont do much. i havent used creams and i have a couple on my hips. My mum got a couple on her hips none of her front xxx

You will get them or not, you can't prevent them but you can definitely make them not as bad. Dribk lots of water to keep your skin hydrated and out bio oil on yourself everyday. Dont wait until they come it will be too late by then!

I have stretch marks and even though there's no getting rid of them moisturizing does help my stretch marks have mostly blended in with my skin now but still noticeable my bump is always soft which is a plus and my stretch marks are smooth and not bumpy:) i use cocoa butter:)
