And do you also have any suggestions
So we have chosen our baby girls name
Olivia Marcia Stewart or Olivia Maria Stewart

but Im not completley sure..

We chose those names to honour both our mums ( I was also named after my grandmother )

anyway my mum's name is Octavia and DH num's name is Marcia...
So that is how we came up with it
I feel like Olivia is so common though..alot of people are liking this name for there baby girls...
Do you think its too common...do you have any other ideas of names that we can honour or mums ..I couldnt think of any other cool names other than these...
We also thought of giving a completely differnet name and then using Olivia Marcia as her two middle names..I really like sort of different names ...Lyric, Silver, Ariella, Ansley,
I really like the name Lyric and ...but then it would be

Lyric Olivia Marcia Stewart
..and that doenst really flow well..:nope:

I was just wondering where Olivia came from in honouring your mothers names?

The reason i ask is could you use Octavai and Marcia as middle names?

x

Well we chose Olivia because dont really particularly like Octavia to be honest..I mean its okay for mum but dont really want to have that name..thats why we were thinking olivia Maria..something reminding us of our mum's name but not really the names...dont know if that makes sense.

I LOVE Olivia Maria (although I'm a bit biased, since my DD is Olivia Marie :winkwink:)
Here in America it isn't as common, so I can't really help you out with how popular it is. My general rule of thumb when it comes to popularity is, if it isn't really popular in my surrounding towns, then it's okay.

Take my name, for example. I'm Alexandria, which is VERY uncommon in NJ (Alexandra, however, is common) But where my grandmother lives in North Dakota there are 3 Alexandria's in her town!

my mum's name is Octavia and DH num's name is Marcia...

How about Avianna Maria?? <<---- Soo pretty! Could even have "Ava" as a nickname?? I took the last half of your mom's name... rather than the 1st half! Plus Avianna & Octavia begin with the same "sound" even though different letters!

Not fond of Marcia -- prefer Maria, Mariah, Marcie, Marcella

Avianna Mariah?? <<---- gorgeous! A modern spin on both of your mother's names! :happydance:

ooooooooo I really like Avianna Maria
Interesting will have to see what Hubby thinks of it! However I know he loves loves Olivia
and he likes the nn Livie as well

I found Olivia Marcia Stewart the easier one to say. Felt the Maria didnt flow after Olivia if that makes sense x

I love the name Olivia and in 10 years of teaching, I have taught only 1 Olivia, so not that common.
xx

I love Olivia. Sometimes the common names are common for a reason. They are really nice names. Depending where you live you may not know very many other girls with the same name.

My daughter's name is in the top 10. I had been determined to choose a less common name but in the end it came down to what we could agree on - that and we didn't realise it was in the top 10.

I love the names Olivia and Maria separately but not sure about together.Too many 'ia's I think,if that makes sense xxxxx
