Personally I think it's pretty and not very common
What do you think?

Hah I'm actually Scottish but emigrated 9 years ago. I'm racking my brain but can't think which car?

Have you read/ watched "Eragon". This is the name of his dragon :). It is lovely though.

I didn't immediately think of the car - is it a zafira?

I think it sounds lovely, but looks incomplete to me, like its maybe missing a letter but I'm not sure what.

No never heard of it!

I used to like Sophia before it became very popular

Considered Sophina but really like Saphira too

It makes me think of Eragon too which is bad because I hate that series BUT the series is not that popular that I think it really is a dealbreaker. And if I just look at the name without the Eragon connotation, it's really very pretty and it is definitely unique. I like it.

The film is not really good but the book is brilliant. I am reading it for a second time at the moment. I am just in love with Eragon and Saphira :).

never heard of it, I thought of the car too but I do quite like it x

Automatically thought of a Vauxhall zafira. Pretty name though

I immediately thought of the Eragon books (which i love) but they were tainted by a rubbish movie (argh).

But as you aren't familiar with the books i don't think that'll matter. And it's a beautiful name :D

I think it's beautiful and unique. We have a zafira car but never thought of that. Sapphire is lovely too x

I have a cousin named Saphira. I'm not too fond of it, although I can't really place why. It's like a combination of the spelling looking incomplete, and the way I say it. I don't know.

When I read it in my head I think it sounds pretty, but out loud, I don't like it.

I think it's a bit too kitschy for my taste. Not a big fan of kids being called like gems.
Sounds like a "sister" to "Jade", "Ruby", "Diamond", or "Golda".
makes me think of a very materialistic child.

It's the name of a character in a Japanese video game I used to play, so that turns me off a little. But to be fair, probably not many people will make that connection!
