What do you think of the name Bentley for a boy? With Ben as a nickname.

I actually really like the name Bentley. I am not huge fan of nicknames but if that is what you wanted Ben isn't bad at all.

It's nice and I think Ben is a pretty good nickname. I liked Bennett but the husband said no.

I like Ben but not Bentley, it's a bit 'chavvy' if I'm being honest

I don't like it, sorry. I agree that it sounds a bit chavvy. Much prefer Benjamin or even Bennett.

What does chavvy mean? I like Beckett but the bf isn't sold on it. Boy names are so hard!

I saw your post on the other site. Same answer, it's like naming your kid Lexus or Mercedes... or even Portia because it sounds so close.

Huh? This is the only site I post on. And I don't mind that connotation, my bf is a car fanatic.

Oh what a coincidence! Someone just posted the same question on what
to expect forums. Bentley is popular today.

I like Benson or Bennett much better. Bentley sounds like it's trying a bit too hard. Also, it sounds cute for a little boy, but might not be appropriate for an adult.

A friend of mine named her son Bentley. I'm really not a fan, but who am I to say. My sons are named Gabriel Isaiah and Donovan Jahmal...lol.

I'm not a fan, sorry if this sounds really harsh but I find it tacky because of the fact it is a brand name, my husband also had a dog called Bentley so I always associate it as a dog's name but I appreciate that's localised to my family lol. I would use Benjamin if you like Ben, I like traditional names. But this is of course just my opinion.
