Ever since we've been thinking about trying for a family we've been set on our names. Hubby LOVES the name Analis for a girl, so it'll be Analis Mae and for a boy we love Robert James. My cousin was called James and he died a few months ago so it's sort of to honour him. What do you think?

How do you pronounce Analis? Because just looking at it.. the poor thing would be teased her whole life...

Oh no! Thats what I thought too! I didnt wanna mention it incase it was just my mind! Hubby loves it said as its spelt A-NA-LIS.

How about the more traditional spelling Annalise?? I think its a very pretty name, but can see that some people may mis-pronounce it. xx

Neither of us likes Annaliese, think it sounds like a name off coronation street.

Is Anaïs (ah-nah-iss) close.. or am I way off?

I don't think I'm sounding out your choice correctly yet... A-na-lis... like the beginning of the word analyst?

Analis would be a total no for me because of the spelling:nope: I pronounce it ah-NAH-liss which is fine, but once people see it written...Sorry. I can see people adding an adjective to the end of it if you see what I mean

Robert James would be a nice tribute to your cousin though for a boy

I'm not too keen on Analis sorry, I love Robert though :)

The name sounds pretty... but the spelling would have to be changed a bit bc i think kids would be mean and come up with lots of ways to tease a name that starts with "anal"! I used to know a girl name Annaleisa, which is very pretty!

The boy's name is a nice tribute to your cousin!

nice name, but yes thinkt the spelling could cause some trouble :)
how about annelise?

Definitely change the spelling, otherwise, very pretty name. I am not a big fan of Robert though, but it might make a nice middle name. I prefer James Robert. Good luck!
