For the early stages of labor, I was super happy in my gown from Dressed to Deliver. I had a very long induction, so it was nice to pass time in something attractive, soft, and comfortable.
The first time I got in the shower, I put the gown back on afterward. The second time I got in the shower was when the Pitocin contractions were horribly intense. I asked for the epidural at this time and don't think I ever put clothes back on.
The next 12 hours were spent bundled up in layers of blankets in the bed, as I wasn't handling the Pitocin very well. I was naked in there, which worked out well because when it was suddenly time to push, I wanted NOTHING touching me! I couldn't care less who was in the room while I was totally naked, I had other things to focus on.
I would have really liked to have a second delivery gown for afterward, because mine had gotten wet somehow, and the hospital gown was rough and unflattering. Next time, I'll have two.
