My happy nappy has come!! I'm confused though, do I buy special disposables to go under it?

If your talking about happy nappy swim nappies. I've read on the website you don't need to put anything underneath them but that idea scares me incase there is a poop incident so I put those swimmis swim nappies underneath for double protection (they are like disposables but don't swell up when put in water- which were on offer in tescos a week or so ago!

You just use a disposable swim nappy under it, like Huggies Little Swimmers or similar. Although I guess a reusable would also work under? Whichever you have. ;) x

You don't HAVE to put anything under it however, some pools will only let you use it if you have a disposable swim nappy underneath :)

You put a disposable swim nappy underneath the happy nappy - what website did you read that you don't need anything on? I got mine from Waterbabies as we do lessons with them and was told from day one to put a disposable swim nappy underneath it, I think to comply with regulations for the 'double barrier' that most pools have now rather than it's functionality. Just tuck it in so that the happy nappy forms a seal on the skin at the legs and waist (it should be very snug!)

Thanks everyone, I am sure the lady from water babies said something had to go under it :) I'll look for some huggies. I've just bought her swimming costume today, so cute. Lessons start next Tuesday.

Little Swimmers are on special offer in the Asda at the mo, only £3 for a pack

whats the point in a happy nappy if you just put a disp under neath? why not just use the disp?

We have a light washable nappy for under it by the same company- splash about- bought from Aquanauts for their lessons

The happy nappy is the same material as what Izzys costume was, its like a wet suit kinda stuff - it is an extra precaution for toilet jobbies - a baby could pull a nappy off too but not in one of those.
