What is cycle day 1?

My LMP I actually had brown spotting for an entire day and then got my normal period the next day. Which one should I go by when I go to the dr's? I of course would love it to be the first day I had spotting because that makes me one day closer to being in the second tri! Lol

I think it's the first day you have full flow x

CD 1 is the day you have full flow. If it starts at night, then you consider the next morning as CD 1.
