My dd has had bloods done recently, her doc requested her to have a tube for ecg biotinidase along with another test. I've had the results back from the other test but not the biotinidase, I don't know if biotinidase is just the name of the tube or if it's the name of the test. Anyone enlighten me?

Biotinidase is an enzyme, something to do with being able to use biotin (sometimes known as vitamin H). The body doesn't make it's own biotin. Biotin helps metabolise macronutrients (fat, carbs, protein).
