What is it with MIL's and breastfeeding attitudes?

My MIL breastfed until 4 and is really supportive but my MOTHER thinks anything above one or when they have teeth(!) is wrong...!

my mil keeps assuming that ive 'given up bf' when she see's me feeding my daughter with a bottle - i have to tell her everytime that its my expressed milk. she seems to just expect me to fail

My MIL is not supportive, neither is any of the family. But they dont get a say and they MOSTLY keep their mouths shut about it, and they do love my daughter. I think its a generation thing.

It's not wrong at all! Though it is a bit scary!
