Aside from the obvious English!?

I speak basic French mais je ne parle pas très bien (but I don't speak very well), a wee bit of Japanese and some Mandarin (both learned at university and I'm rapidly losing it).

Any French-speaking moms here? I would love to practice

My OH speaks Czech well all his family do now that is a confusing language x

I cant speak any.

I can say a few words in German and Spanish but that only because of School.:/

I think MissJess can speak french if I remember rightly but I dont see her post that much any more.

x

I can speak adequate french a bit of spanish but that's all :(

I speak fluent French as I was born and raised in Montreal, where French is the first language. I've been living in the UK for almost 11 years though, so a chance for me to practice would be fantastic!

xx

Yay French girls :)

So Anna are you an anglophone from Montreal? My family is but when they moved to B.C. they never taught me any French. So now I end up with a French OH and we're moving to Montreal in a couple months and I don't know much French :(

Voulez-vous pratiquer avec moi??? :)

OH is fluent obviously (it's his first language) but he's an impatient teacher :dohh:

Oui, je suis une anglophone de Montreal!

Whereabouts you moving to? I'm from the South Shore -- Saint Hubert, to be precise :D

Oh how funny!! :)

We are thinking either St Jean sur Richelieu or Chambly! Probably St Jean! OH is originally from Brossard :)

ROFL! Brossard is right next door to St Hubert :D My old stomping grounds... I get homesick sometimes. Haven't been back in a few years, as when I moved to the UK, my parents moved to Oakville, which is just west of Toronto.

I've been looking for another BNB mom from the south shore (or hell, even the entire province) and no luck! Typical you are in the UK now! LOL! Just my luck.

I know! How typical

At least I'll know landmarks and locations and stuff :)

I speak Finnish and Dutch - I'm learning xxxxxx

I can speak quite good French as I did it as an advanced higher in school but I'm fast losing it! I want to learn Spanish too as that's where I go on holiday most often and will probably end up living there eventually.

i got an A in french at school...but ive lost it all!
taught myself very basic written arabic, literally primary school stuff, and started on russian then gave up.

I know odd words of loads though, i worked it out once i knew hello in about 15 languages! which was so cool.

im better at writing than speaking though! :) x

Je ne parle pas très bien français, mais j'ai appris à l'école que je suis Canadien.

I speak English (well, I mean obviously :laugh2:) and Japanese. I got pretty good at Spanish in highschool but I've long since forgotten most of it!

I speak english:haha: and school german.
DH is completely fluent in french, english and spanish:thumbup:

English as my first language, fairly fluent French, some Swedish - I used to be fluent, but it's been 15 years! - and very bad Spanish. :)
Je parle le francais de l'ecole secondaire de la colombie britannique. Ce n'est pas le bon francais, mais j'essaye!
