What pets do you have and what pets do you want?

I have two dogs: a 4 year old blue roan Cocker Spaniel bitch and a 6 year old ruby Cavalier King Charles spaniel dog.

And three gerbils who are 4 years old now, so old men, but still happy, healthy and active though their coats are a little less sleek.

I desperately want a betta fish again, and plan to get one this summer. I have in mind a halfmoon tail in either mustard gas, white, copper, or black, maybe butterfly pattern. Quite liking the dumbo ears I'm seeing now too. Will probably end up with a split tank so I can have several and argue to DH that it only counts as one pet slot.

I have plans for more dogs (more spaniels, a long-coat chi, standard poodle and probably in a decade or so a hovawart), some harvest mice, African pygmy dormice, and a skunk, but none of those will happen for years until we've moved house and life has calmed down a bit.

What does everyone want/have? Pictures welcome! I'll add some in a bit when I get chance.

These are three of our lugs- lol. The big boxer is technically our roommate's dog but of course we live with him so he's ours too they were of course waiting on a treat. We also have 2 goldfish in a 40 gal breeder tank, and 4 leopard geckos. Currently “fostering" a black cat that we saved ten days ago. Found him with his head stuck in a chain link fence at my work. We had to cut him free and after a vet check he got an OK bill of health and is living in our spare room away from the dogs as you can tell, we love animals!!

ive also had snails.

i really want a dalmation but i dont have the time for training or the huge amounts of exercise they require. xx

I'd like to get another kitty- a Bengal is what I've been wanting for aaaaages!

Has your Cocker calmed down yet? I was talking to a woman with a Springer pup the other day and we were commiserating over how much longer than the average dog spaniels take to calm down a bit and stop being total nutters!

I think I already am crazy pet lady, my DH is just stopping me from actually having all the ones I want! I've just rescued a bunch of tadpoles and they are currently residing in a little fishtank in my living room until I can clear out the old pond, and I'm getting mildly fond of them already.

I had a hamster growing up. She was nicknamed Houdini as she could escape from anything, especially hamster balls. I prefer gerbils though, myself.

Were your snails GALS? I like them. I quite like a lot of inverts. I'd like a Dynastes Grantii, and maybe some millipedes. I kept woodlice for a while when I was little, I'd love it if there was a giant version of them, they'd be a really cool pet.

Bengals are nuts aren't they? I've heard they're really busy and noisy and into everything. Very, very pretty though. I don't know anything about Siberians, what are they like?

We have 3 dogs (chi x JRT, chi x shihtzu and chi x terrier of some kind), a kitty, 11 canaries, 2 quails, 9 rabbits, a guinea pig and 6 horses! We could start our own zoo

This was my furbaby Crystal I got her in 2005 and she sadly passed on 2010 best rabbit in the world

I had 2 rabbits this time last year but some horrible kids stole both of them just after my daughter was born and never saw them again even after offering £100 for their return.

this was Misty my cheeky little boy he appeared in a couple rabbit magazines and was in a rabbit calender miss him like crazy

I do not know how to attach pix, but I have a Poodle/German Shepherd Mix named Lucky who is 2 years old, and a Poodle/Maltese Mix named Barcy who is 5 months old. At my mom's they have a Labrador named Browny who is 1 year old, and a Chihuahua named Paisa who is 10 years old. Also RIP to our Chow-Chow who's name was Oso and left us at 15 years old. I love my dogs, they are my babies. I would want another dog, but a bigger one, since both of mine are under 30lbs.

(I know this is an old thread but I wanna join in)

I've got a 3 year old cat called Sushi (I picked her up as an emergency temp home and still have her ) and a 10 month old Royal python called Ronnie (oh thinks he's called Albert, imogen thinks he's called Barry. Or Bruce.) Who I got from friends who didn't have enough time for him as they initial thought they would.

I wanted a cat and a snake for a long time, ans the thing I like most about them is they just came to me through chance, they needed a home, I needed a pet

I'd like more pets

I'm still mourning the death of my cat, figaro.. She was totally my baby, we got her when I was 5 and she passed when I was 22 so it's been 5 years now she was the best cat ever, and would hug me (by putting each paw on my shoulders) when I picked her up.

Desperately want another cat but I live in a flat and I don't want the kitty to be stuck indoors. It's my goal is though!

I also want a rat, so may get two soon Jacobs pretty set on a dog which is never going to happen, poor kid!
