Hey all,
I've been ttc for now for 14mths and nothing so far.. I originally had a 32 day cycle.. and would pick up my LH surge around day 17/18 ... with a luteal phase of 12/14 days and I seem to think that I do get ovulations pains and I never miss a period..
After a year I bugged my GP & He had my 21 day progesterone tests done (day 25 for me) the first one came back ok but the second was low.
I was then sent to see a fertility specialist who had my 21 day bloods taken again..(day 25) and again it came back low, my specialist said based on these results, I'm not ovulating.
I've also recently had a HSG which I was told was fine by the doctor preforming it but im still waiting for my next specialist appointment to confirm this.. plus I've had an internal ultrasound,, this was also clear..
Well... after having all this done and the time between appointments being around six months..
I started a bit of research on agnus castus & spoke to the lady at Holland and barrett who said it could help and to take it along with vitamin B6 as they work well together to balance hormones... it has given my a 28 day cycle and I now pick up my LH surge on cd14..
but I'm sad to say 3 months later and still no bfp.. although I know it does take a while to get into the system.. I just dont hold out much hope.
So the point to my post lol....since joining this site I've read lots of posts about soy, macca and other herbs that have helped ladies when ttc, but I'm now getting confused on whats best for what ..& which herbs help with which problem..and which herbs you can take together.
should I stop taking the AC?? would one of the other herbs be better??
I think I'm reading that many posts its turning my brain to mush..
Heres what im taking at the minute
AC 400mg x2
B6 100mg
vitamin C .. its a low dose I was taking before ttc
B complex Low dose
Folic Acid
I feel like I should just stop taking everything as I just dont know what is really going to help..
sorry for the long winded questions I just feel like I need to say everything I'm thinking...if you have any experience or advice that would be great
