what side effects do you have from taking clomid?

hi ladies!

i know there are a few of you here taking clomid, so i was wondering what side effects you have if any?

i get severly depressed for about a week after taking them and have also gained some weight.

anyone else?

Hi Kellym

I didn't feel too bad last month but this month I feel really depressed and anxious. Also - couldn't sleep when I actually took the tablets. I am having acupuncture which helps a bit but I am still struggling!

am starting first cycle of clomid frm today cd2..I shall be prepared ..wat else can we do
.. But atleast let's all hope after so much of these stuff getting BFP will make us forget all these pains a tears ..

I was massively euphoric on the days i was taking them, other than that just some hot flushes and ov pains....

Uncontrollable crying, even the stupidest songs I've heard 100 times make me cry
HOT HOT HOT flashes, lol
Headaches
Later ovulation, around CD20.

thank you ladies. its nice to know im not on my own. ive been taking it for 4 months now and every month seems to be getting worse

Hi,
I thought it wasn't recomended to take clomid more than 3 months in a row. After a break - maybe consider letrozole - much gentler on your body than clomid. It does not thin your lining and most people have normal ewcm.

It may not be recommended, but many doctors leave patients on it without a break. My dr. seems to want me on it for 9 cycles, depending on whether I get pregnant. My dosage gets increased every three cycles. I'm a bit worried, but I do trust my doctor, so I guess we'll see what happens.
