What tests are needed to see if the problem is pcos?

Just wondering what investigations/tests are needed for a pcos diagnosis and what symptons are usually with it as I think I have some but not the usual weight or hair issues, thanks x

Hello!

It varies from woman to woman but I was given an ultrasound where they saw the cysts, and based on the fact that I had v irregular heavy periods, bad acne and overweight it was concluded that I had PCOS. I have also just had the 3 and 21 day blood tests to check hormone levels.

I had blood work and an u/s. I have a classic hair line in the pubic area, a little extra hair growth and that is it. I only weigh 115 lbs so no weight issues here. I had all of 5 zits in my teen life and about 8 since. I don't get AF at all if I am not on BC pills.

The thing with PCOS is it can have different effects on different people. If you see some of the same things in common from the list of effects then it is very likely you have PCOS.

Well I dont have a weight issue and wouldnt say I was particualary hairy either but im almost positive I dont ov every month and would say I havnt for about 4 months even though Im getting a surge, My af's arent regular and when they do come some months can be the "normal" 5 days to others being a week then a couple of days break and then another week! Am suffering a lot with spots though particulary very nasty ones along the jaw line which Ive read can be a indicator

I dont know if im just trying to find a problem to help me cope with the fact of no bfp each month or whether I have a valid concern.
