What the heck is a twinge already?

Hi everyone. I keep reading about women getting "twinges" in their uterus, ovaries, or breasts. I looked it up and it says a twinge is a sharp localized pain.

Can someone explain it clearer to me? I am honestly just curious because women always mention it.

I would say it’s like a short sharp stabbing pain that goes as quick as it came,I’ve never had them in my breasts but I get them in my ovaries every month and a lot low down during pregnancy xx

They do vary,I’ve had ones where I can feel them but they don’t bother me at all,more of a niggling annoying feeling and then I’ve had ones that take my breath away.it can feel like a slight pulling sensation or a sharp stab that can hurt xx
