My almost 5 month old baby suddenly refuses to sleep and drink. She used to sleep right through the night. But lately she wakes up at 2 am and then refuses to sleep further. She drinks about 3 times less than usual. And she is fussier than usual, cries for no reason and when picked up she would laugh.Anyone else going through something similar around this time? When will it get better.

A very tired mommy! :dohh::dohh::dohh:

^^^ Experiencing exactly this. Such a fusspot at the mo and sleeps all out. I think it’s a wonder week x

I never experienced it but remember seeing a lot about the '4 month sleep regression'. Mine started getting bothered by teeth then plus more alert and aware, I noticed changes in my pair as they were going through big developmemtal changes. Hopefully it passes for you soon. :hugs:

My daughter went through the same thing, shes just over 5 months now and is starting to sleep a bit better now only waking 2 times at most to eat then go right back to sleep. It gets better! my other 2 did the same thing around that age I think!
I know the tiredness feeling all too well! Hopefully your little one starts to have better nights soon! :)

Thank you ladies. It seems like they are developing extremely a lot of new features, and that make them fussy. I am glad I am not alone.

Yes, we’re struggling with it too! My little girl has gone from having 33oz per day to about 23oz. She just messes with the bottle, takes it into her mouth then lets milk dribble down her chin. :dohh:

As for sleep, she’s decided that 4am is a perfect time to wake up and roll around so none of us get any rest. She used to sleep 11 hours straight!

I guess it’s just a phase. A long, deeply frustrating phase. It’s a good job she’s so cute!

Oh God the 4 month sleep regression was hell for us. Well, really all of them are bad for us but that was the first one that started this downward spiral of progressively worse sleep. Had to sleep train at 6 months, now having to do it again at 9 months after the 8 month regression. I pray my next baby is a good sleeper. ..
