Ok so now im majorly confused and freaking out... i was looking at my notes and the bit of paper from where i had my HV(high vaginal) swab when i had been diagnosed with thrush.

Anyways that was all they told me... that i had thrush... but it was later revealed i had strep b... and this too is noted on there BUT under organism 3 it says Neisseria spp NOT isolated after 48 hours...

Now nothing about this got mentioned to me but out of curiosity i googled it and it says all sorts about ghonorea etc :wacko:that this is the bacteria that can cause that and meningitus or summit... but when i asked the docs they said all that was found was thrush and the midwife has never mentioned this to me...

Does anyone know what the hell it means im so worried now

didnt think anyone wouldknow... apparently it can be a normal floral balance in your body unless its a pathogen which is when it could mean meningitus/ghonorea :/... it dosnt specify so do i take this as a normal floral balance thing? as no one has brought it up... or should i ring midwife... or wait till2mo and ask to speak to a doc
im so confused and its bugging me sorry :(

I think they just tested you for gonnorhea as a routine test and your notes indicated they didn't find it. Do you guys get tested for all major STDs in the first tri as a routine? Here we do as soon as we test pregnant. The doctor does a bunch of vaginal swabs and blood work in the first tri. They just need to know to treat you and be prepared for delivery. Gonnorhea can infect the eyes, ears, etc so they need to protect baby.

they do it all the time.. i looked back on my notes and released id high blood preasure for months and wasnt mentioned to me!

The twins are usually over active but today i havent felt much at all.
Do you guys think i should be worried?

Lol ignor my post i thought i pressed post new topic tab Lols and im too new to edit
Sorry :dohh:

no idea... my midwife has clearly seen these notes and if i had this i would have assumed theyd bloomin tell me!!! i spoke to docs receptionist today and she said all they had given me antibiotics for was the thrush thats all that had shown up... then when i asked to speak 2 doc (would have taken 4mins if tht) i was expected to wait 6 hours till they rung me bk... which they didnt even bother doing... and no its not routine for them to check all stds they just check syphillis heps and hiv i think... but i had swabs done to be extra sure and told they were fine minus the thrush... just dont get why they have wrote this in my notes if nothing is present!! grrr

if it's 'not isolated' then that means it has been tested for (as routine) and not found, so nothing to worry about
notes will always state negative tests aswell as positive ones so that people know what's been checked.

^^^ ohh thank u hun i didnt no if anyone would know this and its had me in so much worry thank u very much tho! xxxx
