I know all children are different but when I ask my son what he wants for christmas, only answer I get is "transformers".

I must try to make him want something else but right now it seems impossible:nope: He cant just get transformers for christmas (which I am sure his dad's family will get him anyway).

What do you reckon a 5 year old boy likes?

My son is 8 but when he was 5 we brought him alot of power rangers but to be honest he never played with them till he was around 7...what about a few ben 10 toys? or get him to look and mark of some things out the argos book... my daughter really struggled cause she is more into learning that playing but my son chose quite a few that i would of had no clue he would be intreasted in? maybe the only thing he can think of,off the top of his head is transfomers... goodluck hun x

Everything here is Ben10 or Scooby Doo lol! Can't go wrong with either of them! He also loves is Nintendo DS too!

Do you reckon they can learn how to manage a nintendo ds or a nintendo sp at 5 years?

My DD is 5 and has had her DS for nearly 2 years and LOVES it! She would be on it 24/7 if I let her so I think that would be a great idea for him.
You can get some great games which are fab for kids that young, even my 3 year old plays on it (not 100% sure she actually knows what shes doing though).
x

Can you please recommend some games for kids that age? I would really appreciate it x

My five year old got a ds last year and love it, as for toys he's asked for transformers too, he's also asked for spongebob stuff, ben 10 stuff, i've also bought some jigsaws, a small train set, some sticker/activity books, a build you own robot dog and a mini pool/football table. His main present that he has been asking for, for months is the kids v-tech digi camera in camoflage. x

Thanks:) I'm thinking if nintendo SP or DS is best, I cant seem to make up my mind:/

both my boys love matchbox type cars and lorries etc. i got them a cheap car mat from wilkinsons and loads of the cars last yr and they have had so much use. youngest was 3 eldest was 6.

My DD likes the 'Build a Bear' game, also Peppa Pig, shes playing Bratz atm, but dont think its that appealing for a boy, lol.
Also viva pinada, but that does have quite a lot of reading on.
She also has Mario and Sonic olympics games which is quite fun!

Nintendo DS is a great gift idea. Jayden got his when he was 5 and he does quite well on it.

He's 6 1/2 now and he's been a tough one to buy for this year as he loves video games. So to find something he will actually play with other than games was tough.

He does still like his army men and army vehicles so that's one thing I need to buy. He also has loved to draw for years so another thing I need to buy is a drawing set.

Other than that, I got him some Lego City sets and a slot car race track.
