Was really looking forward to going to the river on the 4th, bringing baby to meet all our good friends. We probably wouldn't be going out there all day, but was hoping to go for a few hours. While I do breast-feed baby directly a few times a day, I normally pump every two hours and he does get bottles of expressed milk and some formula. I was trying to figure out how many bottles we could take and how long we could stay, but I suddenly realized I hadn't thought about how I would pump throughout the day! My supply isn't exactly plentiful, and I don't want it to drop any further.
What are my options? For the bottles and for pumping? We have a cooler for the bottles obviously, but warming them up? I had thought we would take breast milk bottles and try to maintain them at "room temperature" inside our little canvas cooler. Can I go for a long stretch without pumping? I can't, can I? I guess I would have to try to do it in the car?
I wish LO would just suddenly magically be able to breastfeed well. He just had his tongue tie released a week-and-a-half ago, so he's learning what to do with his newly found freedom of range of motion. Although it has improved some, breastfeeding is still a 45 minute affair, and he doesn't stay sated for very long.
Is a day on the river feasible? What would you do?

I would pump in the car! No sense in not going...you'll regret it so much! Go have fun and when you need to pump in the car put a blanket in the window if your worried about people watching or what not. My daughters way too young to be around fire works right now, my entire family goes camping for Christmas in July mid July and she'll still be fairly young so I have to miss out but I definitely would not let breast feeding keep me from going id make someone cover me with a blanket while I pumped before sitting at home listening to the fire works in a distance wishing I was somewhere with friends and family enjoying it. Go...go have fun!!!!
