Hi, my baby is 4 weeks old today. I'm worried that i'm feeding him too much but after speaking to different people i just don't know what to do for the best  He's on the hipp organic milk and is now taking up to 7 oz every 3-4 hours (he doesn't always have 7, sometime 6 or less) I'm worried that this is too much!

I spoke to my HV.....she said to giv him what he wants, asked about giving him the hungry baby milk and she said it may not change anything and could upset him. Spoke to my friend who's got an 8 week old baby who's having 4 oz every 3 hours and her HV told her that you have to be careful not to give them too much as it can stretch their stomach. I'm tempted to get the hungry baby milk as i feel like i'm constantly feeding him as he has the 7oz over 2 hours and just after he's hungry again!!

Any advice would be great! Thanks x

Honestly, keep doing what you are doing :) how is his sleeping at night? Does he feed less often? When my son was young, he would eat like yours, he went from 2nd centil to 98th and has stayed there (his height too) my HV said he was just a big healthy boy and as he was early (2 weeks) he was catching up.
I don't think you could stretch a babies stomach, think if you over eat yourself, you'll probably throw up and be very uncomfortable. I imagine the same would apply for a baby?

We switched to hungry milk at about 8 weeks, he took to it fine but made no difference to how much he ate! He has slowed down now that we have real food, obviously as he is getting more food in other forms.

I would listen to your HV and feed him what he wants.
