My lb is 4 1/2 weeks now, he's happy on the boob, gaining weight well etc. I eventually want to express (sooner rather than later) but I'm not sure if I should be waiting until he's a but older (milk more established??). I worry that I won't be able to express as efficiently as he can feed and that he'll not be full/satisfied?! I'm happy to feed 99% of the time, but there's the odd occasion when it's not practical and I'm tied and restricted. I have a few non baby friendly functions to attend shortly and don't want to substitute with formula. Also, I don't know when's best to introduce a bottle? He has a dummy and doesn't get 'nipple confusion' with that.
