Hi Ladies, I was just wondering what I should expect to happen now? I had a miscarriage Friday. How long will it take to stop bleeding? Is this bleeding considered AF now or will it stop and start again? This one took us three years to finally get our bfp, I'm praying it doesn't take that long again.

I would like to add my first loss was ectopic. And AF returned right on schedule. Also my periods are very regular at 32 days.

The first day of bleeding from your miscarriage should be CD1 but it's not your AF per se, just the "products of conception" as they like to say... I bled for about 4-5 days? i think it depends how far along you were really..

Some women get their af back on schedule right away and for some women it takes longer. The body is in repair mode and all the hormones have to go back to normal levels so just be patient. it can take up to 3 months to get your AF back, if longer go see a doc,

Thanks for th info. I talked to my nurse today and she said it could take 5-6 weeks to completely stop bleeding from the mc. I'm sure that's extreme cases and I believe I was about 5-6 weeks so I'm sure I won't be bleeding as long as someone who was 10-12 weeks. Who knows though.

I had a mc about two weeks ago and bled for a week. Lighter at times but generally heavy. Then all bleeding stopped completely and ov,d two weeks after. My mc fetus measured 9 half weeks.

I bled for 6 days and got AF back 28 days after the first heavier bleeding. I normally have a 30 day cycle so that was a bit earlier than normal.

I bled for 4 days after my mc, my af arrived 32 days later although my normal cycle is usually only 28 days x

After my first mc I bleed for 5 days then my period came 2 weeks later xx

I had a early MC last week at 5 weeks, started bleeding Wednesday and it stopped yesterday so 5 days in total. Cramping was rough enough but I'm just so very tired now could of slept all day, not sure if that's normal? Suppose its the body healing. Hope your ok

I'm OK, thank you. How about you? I had two days of brown discharge before I started full on bleeding last Friday. Still bleeding. Never had any cramping through it...none...so doctors ams nurses kept reassuring me everything was ok as long as there wasnt cramping. Yeah right. Not bleeding heavy enough to fill a liner each day but enough to need one. I'm hopingit stops soon.

I started bleeding 2 days before a d&c, but then I continued to bleed for another 10 days as they had not managed to removed everything.

It does depend on how far along you were at time of miscarriage. For me the baby stopped developing at about 7 weeks, but the placenta and sac carried on growing and I didn't actually miscarry until 11 weeks. That is the main factor in how much you bleed for and how heavy is it.
