Thankyou!
There is a yoga class near me where I go to see my midwife, but its for everyone and not just pregnant ladies
I am going to try and find one though. If not i will try and drag someone to that one with me, hehe.
I want to start swimming again as well I feel that I am getting very lazy now!!!

If you CAN find a specialist prenatal yoga class near you (rather than a general yoga class) then I can DEFINITELY recommend. A normal yoga class can normally (assuming the teacher is willing) be adapted to you (pregnant women shouldn't do certain things), but proper prenatal yoga is SO MUCH better
Pre-natal yoga isn't so much "yoga" as such (although it may depends how it is taught...): it a VERY gentle and is done to suit every stage of pregnancy (I am the least pregnant in the class, at just under 17 weeks, the rest are all much more pregnant than me - two were actually a week overdue...). It is more a "physical birth preparation class": gentle stretches, exercises that help "move the baby into the right position", things that ease some aches and pains, advice of posture/positions/support, breathing, meditation, "focussing within yourself and away from conscious thought" etc...
Depending on where you are having your baby, so many more places/MWs etc are into "active births" these days (i.e. NOT lying on your back with your feet up in the air in stirrups) and prenatal yoga seems a very good way for preparing for that... Getting to know your body, physically being in good shape and learning to focus and find calm within yourself.
In addition, spending an hour or so with a group of more pregnant women is lovely and enlightening - feels really nice and you learn things.
I am a very practical person (an engineer by training) and doing anything I can do to prepare for the birth seems like a good idea (will be looking for a hypo-birthing course near use for later in pregnancy... already signed up for NCT classes etc).
They aren't cheap - about £8 a session where I go - but I see it as (hopefully) an investment in a healthy pregnancy and a easier (well I can hope, can't I...
) birth.
Starting swimming again sounds great. I honestly believe that keeping active (swimming, walking,, prenatal yoga etc) has to help you stay fit and healthy through pregnancy, for the birth and help you regain strength and energy back quicker afterwards.
Sorry if I waffle I bit
