It seems like life has been in full swing as of late. I'm wondering when it will ever slow down enough for us to get ready for this baby! We have nothing done....a few clothes I picked at a consignment sale and a glider rocker still in the box.:haha:

With older kids, it seems like there's forever something going on....and we're already outnumbered 3-2! It's amazing how different our kids are, and I can't wait to meet this little guy and see what makes him unique :D.

Fun things going on with us right now......
**15 (16 in just a few days) year old son is playing Willard in our high school's production of Footloose. Since we are forever stuck in the 80s at our house, we are so enjoying it! In fact, I'm all 80s up for a totally 80s cast party tonight---big hair, big jewelry, and lots of blue eye shadow...and a HUGE bump!
**17 year old is keeping us hopping from one track meet to another. The little one doesn't seem to mind all the shouting that comes from mama during these exciting races .
**Our autistic almost 13 year old is our ray of sunshine. We wonder constantly how he'll react to this new baby. We have no way of knowing if he really understands that sweet Ben will be coming home to stay with us. He has quite the sense of humor and keeps referring to the Ben as "baby Emily."
**We are SO excited about the Hunger Games movie coming out this month. My hubby, I, and the older 2 boys were lucky enough to be extras. I don't know if any of you have read the books, but they are great reads. The 15 year old is in Entertainment Weekly standing next to Liam Hemsworth (who plays Gale) and he is on IMDB in the same photo---that is just insanely cool to me! I'll try to post a photo.....sorry, very proud mama alert!

Being older, I think our lives are just busier.....so catch me up with what's going on in yours.....feel free to beg.....I feel shameless....lol .

Tracy

Hope these attached.....the first on is of Hunger Games. Jake is the kid in focus right next to Liam Hemsworth.

Second is of our oldest at a track meet.

What a difference a couple of years can make...
By the time I was 20 weeks along with Emily we had everything ready including the nursery.:dohh:
This time I haven't even gone through the clothes to see if I even own any that might work with a boy.
I have felt like we travelled the globe with my older daughters..

Daughter # 1 is 22yrs old and got her degree in accounting last year managed to secure a job with Walmart Canada in her feild but catch is she had to start at a store that is 12 hrs NORTH of us ( I am pretty sure Santa Clause lives in the same town) so we have to find her an apartment, move the her things and do two round trips up there to get her settled ( forget about the countless phone calls home because she is a little home sick)

Daughter #2 is 21 yrs old and recently ended her relationship of 4 yrs ( she is about 2 hrs away finishing her appr. as a chef) so mommy had to go help mend a broken heart.

Daughter # 3 is 19 yrs old and has suddenly decided she wants to finish her degree in a school which is clear across the country..

Daughter # 4 is 2 yrs old and busy, busy, busy.. she has swim lessons on Saturdays and gymnastics on Thursdays PLUS I also run a daycare from my home from 6am - 6pm..

Plus DH travels often for work and is preparing for a month long trip starting next week ( he will be home maybe one weekend)

Very handsome boys Tracy!! Wow, Im tired just reading about both of you ladies busy households! Mine feels eerily quiet in comparison! Since my DH is away for training for quite some time, it's just me and our 4 fur babies (dogs) for now. They're really testing my nerves as in anticipation of LO I've moved a few things to a new location in the house and god forbid something is different in their world, so they mark on it. Driving me crazy and of course they are smart little buggers and know what's going on I'm sure. I've been a cleaning fool these past few weeks and taking mom out to breakfast or lunch while she eagerly awaits the arrival of her first grandbaby, at the older age of 73. I have twice weekly doc appts for NST tests and Biophysical profiles, as thats the protocol my doc follows for us older moms to be. Was feeling really tired and achey last week but this week feel like I could run a marathon!

I would be so proud too Tracy! We can't wait for the hunger games to come out either.

My DD Eva is having an LMFAO fancy dress party tonight at the house (last years was an 80s theme with big hair and legwarmers...lol)She will be turning 13 on Monday. There will be a mix of boys and girls and DH is on supervision duty...I am currently enjoying the peace and quiet beforehand.

My DS Max is looking forward to watching a movie with his mummy. Pirates of the Carribean is on TV this evening so popcorn is at the ready....

Fingers crossed we survive the night unscathed...

Thanks, ladies.....I know we're all busy and excited :happydance:! I'm just feeling really overwhelmed right now.....with absolutely NO motivation to do anything about it. I'm really hoping that nesting stuff kicks in soon, or this kid will have no where to sleep! The older boys are very excited, which makes it nice....I hope they keep that excitement once he's here!

My daughters and I read the Hunger Games series together about two years ago. We're all really looking forward to the film coming out.

Daughter #1 is maybe-yes maybe-no with the boy who might be her first boyfriend. It's an exciting time for her and the story changes every day.

Daughter #2 has just been fitted for her first bra and is deeply, deeply unimpressed with her changing body.

I signed up for an MSc the week before I got my BFP. It's part time, but it means assignments throughout the pregnancy and when this Tiddler is a newborn.

My mom had a stroke last weekend. She's fighting hard but the hospital's an hour from where I live and the worry has sent my blood pressure through the roof

This poor baby has taken a back seat the past week.

Sending prayers for your mom's recovery.....wow you have your plate full! It's so fun for me to hear about the girlie stuff since I have all boys :). Thanks for sharing!!!

Gosh, you all are so busy! Fun to read though!

My son is 23, married and living in Austin TX.

I have been trying to focus on my school work because like InVivoVeritas, I am in the middle of an MSc. I have several assignments pending and I am really struggling to focus.

My partner and I are having refurb work done on his place with a view to move back there soon, but it's dragging on.

His brother is getting married soon, first the civil ceremony here and then the big celebration in Lebanon. So I will be flying to Beirut in May, and then my family reunion will be near Cape Hatteras in June, so another long flight then.

So between school and family I am pretty wrapped up till mid June. :)

Hoping your mom recovers quickly InVitroVeritas!

Tracy, I showed my older DD that shot of your son with Gale in that picture and she was so impressed. We'll watch out for him when we see the movie.

My mom's doing a lot better, thanks everyone, and we're hoping to get her home this week. Life just seems so much busier than it did when I was pregnant with my oldest.
