Hi everyone

So far both of results are coming back fine.
Has anyone had this and still not been able to conceive.
I have irregular periods and well medicated thyroid disease.
But no blockages or pcos or endo.
I'm confused.

I have hypothyroidism. Its the only thing keeping me from conceiving (i dont ovulate regularly). But im very hopeful. Good luck

I have been trying a total of 4 years. But only 1 year and 4 months since seeing a doctor. And I have one every month. Except this month I'm 4 days late. So we will see.

i have hyperthyroid and im sure that is hindering me as it makes a thinner lining...im taking wheat germ oil to help build up my lining...i get a period every month that goes to 28 to thirty days..

my docs says i have unexplained infertility.....but you know when u just know what is wrong with you...well i know its my thyriod problem...just have a feeling

I have "Unexplained Infertitlity" too. All my tests have come back normal. I have regulart cycles, ovulate on my own late in my cycle. I've taken Clomid the past 2 cycles, plus this one. First 50mg then last and this one 100mg to try to make me "hyperovulate" according to my OBGYN. Still nothing! Been TTC 19 1/2 months! Im pretty sure its cuz my LP is consistently 10 days or less. I emailed him, and he said to try the Clomid again this cycle, and if it doesnt work, to call for an appt to talk about some more options. Ill bet anything its my LP tho! I know some people say use, B6 I think it is, but with some of the meds I have to take, for heartburn and depression, I dont like taking too many OTC meds unless the dr specifically tells me to. Have they done day 3 and 21 blood tests and ultrasounds to make sure you're ovulating even though your cycles are irregular? Clomid will help regulate your cycle a little bit (or at least make ovulation date more predictable if it works) or help you to ovulate in case you aren't.

Hi. Thanks for the input everyone.
I have had day 21 test which showed no ovulation which I knew cos I hadn't ovulated yet.
I have had day 3 test and hsg and ultrasound.
I temp and do opks so hoping clomid will regulate me.

The 'day 21' blood test for ovulation is based on a 'normal' 28 day cycle - If you know when Ovulation is have the test redone at 7DPO (which would be day 21 in a 'normal' cycle if O was day 14) - That's the most accurate reading when progesterone peaks.

For me I Ovulate on CD12/13 (due to short 22/23 day cycles) so my day 21 bloods were done on CD19. If you O on CD22 then have it done CD29.

Some DR's don't consider that we are not all regular 28 days and insist it's done at completely the wrong time

I'm also an 'unexplained' after 11 years.... yet i've still not had a HSG done or my tubes checked! I'm currently waiting on a follicle scan just before O but getting my FS on the phone to book my appointment is a nightmare... this will be my 4th month attempting to get this done once CD1 gets here!

Where r u from. Mine was very quick to get done.
I don't know when I ovulate until I see ewcm. Cycle varies from 32-48 normally around 39 as average.
I know have a long wait for next appt yet tests got rushed through.
How do they know its unexplained without checking u with ultrasound and hsg? Is oh sa all ok xx

I'm in the Uk - my FS has 1... yes 1 nurse who deals with every patient! I've seen the FS specialist who has ordered the follicle scan and gave me the 'unexplained' diagnosis after just blood tests and DH's SA - All my tests (this time round) came back very good, especially for my age (almost 35). I am overweight and had to get my BMI down before i can have a lap, but i can have the follicular scan done and the HSG (once i've had the scan!) until then (i've only about 7lbs to go to his weight limit - I've lost 30lbs in 3 months since seeing him beginning of october). Getting hold of the nurse who is only in the office on a tues/wed/thurs is a nightmare! I leave countless messages but she never gets them - i've complained about the answering machine!

I have/had short cycles of just 22/23 days - since joining Slimming World immediately they changed to roughly 27 days! I had a short LP which i used vitamin B complex 100mg in the past to help extend, and i think they weight loss programme i must be taking in more vitamin B in my diet?! (that's my theory anyway lol)

So i have no idea how they can give me that diagnosis without checking properly! But slowly but surly i'll get what i need done... i might be 50 by the time they are complete but i'll get there lol x

Have you tried OPK's to pin point ovulation? that's how i found out mine was early! O'd CD9/10 once! Nearly missed it lol

Well done on ur weight loss that's amazing.
That's awful about ur clinic. Must be so frustrating. So wierd that pcts run everything so differently.
Yes I do opks when I notice ewcm. But sometimes it can be missed. What does the lap test? Xx

I want the laparoscopy to check for Endo, they can also check tubes this way too - but it's more invasive than a HSG - I have very painful, heavy & clotty AF for 7 days... which on a 22 day cycle leaves me just 15 days to O and get a bean to stick! Not long enough! Waiting for CD1 again to ring the FS to HOPEFULLY be 4th time lucky in getting this scan done... nothing is moving forward until this is done... i might end up just heading over to the office if i get ignored again and camp out lol

I read some really bad horror stories about the hsg so I recommend u don't read up. I didnt feel anything with hsg and some stories sed it was the worst pain ever.
I think u need to do something drastic to get that appt.
How much would the lap cost private? Is that a option xxx

Hope you don't mind me butting in but I'm in the same "unexplained" boat too, and Sammy we're the same age. It's horrible isn't it?
I had my lap on Tuesday and they didn't find anything, my first appointment with the fertility specialist was November so they went straight in for the lap pretty quickly, not too sure if this is the same everywhere though.

Not too sure, maybe it depends on the specialist and what they prefer to do? I've been back and forth to the gp tonnes for the past couple of years with stomach pains so it was suspected endo or pid (vom I know), they checked my tubes and it turns out everythings in order so not really too sure what's going to happen from here!

Yeah trying for number one, got married in August and just want to start a family now!
