Well, how do you decorate? I have a friend who has ultra modern decorations around her house.

I'm a shabby chic/country style girl. This is my sort of thing...

So, what's your style? :)

I like your style!

Most of my decorations are snowmen, I have an obsession with them

I'd say I go more for the country style stuff though. And I have these awesome Santa figurines of different Santa's from around the world that I found on bargain at a flea market one year

i dont know yet lol havent celebrated xmas for 11 years so this will be like a first for me.!!

dead excited and looking forward to getting my xmas tree and wrapping gerties presents!!

I love vintage

Like 1930s-1950s stuff. It is hard to find but it reminds me when life was much more simplier.

I'm into traditional style. Our tree has a lot of old ornaments on it, and we have a lot of old santas from around the world as well.

I like the more modern stuff as well, and when I lived on my own I did it that way, but it feels more like Christmas with traditional.

i have a mixture of differant stuff i do

I'm sorta the same as you. Quite traditional too. No white christmas trees, fibre optics or bright blue fairy lights for us thanks! Red, green and gold only!

I only like decorations on my tree, not around the house, and I like old stuff, be it traditional or just a bit shabby looking! I have a lot of stuff on the tree that I have made either when I was little or more recently. I don't like flashing lights, inflatable stuff and foil things!

I have a tree and stockings and that's it :)

Same here

I only have a tree too, no other decorations

Oooooh my house is full of decorations

Nothing OTT, but I have a wreath on the fron and back doors, fairy lights up, etc.

i would looooove to have a big expensive tree with just silver or gold decorations on but when your kids start school and start making and bringing home decorations they have made you HAVE to put them on show and then you end up with a mishmash of stuff :dohh:

so now i just make is all colourful and sparkly for them, we only have a tree so they decorate it (then i fix it when theyve gone to bed:blush:) and a few around the house. but none of those inflatable santas or dancing snowmen, id have to take the batteries out after an hour :haha:

Im the same red green and gold all the way for me! we only have a tree and a few little ornimants around like candles ect! ooo i cant wait too get them up now!!!

Honestly? I go for total tat lol. I get all those cheap foil decorations and hang them all over the living room and conservatory, hang tinsel on the picture frames etc. Anything to make it as over the top and magical as I can. We always have a real tree and cover it in tinsel and fairy lights and plastic baubles etc. My only rule is that I won't have anything on the outside of the house except a wreath, but inside anything goes lol.

Amelie is getting her own tree when she starts making decs  my mum used to do that for us so the 'proper' tree wasn't 'ruined' I'll put hers in the kitchen :)

omg  You must take pics this year and show us all!

On a side note, I don't use tinsel either. i use the posh 'ribbon' that you get for presents instead.

Im modern :) With a winter twist!

Green tree with white decors like birds, owls , butterflys , wooden stars haging on the cielings as well as silver stars, wooden Deers around the x-mas , with wooden bird house type thing thats covered in snow and holly. Tree has a snow tree skirt and fake snowballs underneath. I love that winter feel :)

I think we have a bit of everything. . .anything that gets me excited

Last year we had multicoloured plastic decorations from tesco all over the tree, then multicoloured fairy lights all over the place.

I had a traditional-type reindeer made from twigs and stuff next to my tv, and loads of santas all over the place.

Gaudier the better in our house
