...if I get lucky and have some kind of spare room in my house (either a spare bedroom or like a dining room type room) I'm gonna do it princessy and it can be her playroom heehee! Spoilt baby! xxx

please... i sat in the car on the way to the match and drew a floor plan of the house, and named all the rooms... and like what was going to be in them... and decided wee needed a conservatory!!

Hahaha I do things like that!! I have a notebook where I cut out all the things from my littlewoods catalogue that corresponded with how I want my house to be and stuck them down as a like inspiration guide.. was a total waste of time cos I've changed my mind on practically everything xxx

at the moment i am thinking dusty pink walls...dusty pink black out blind... with like lace and chiffon decor around window, like drapes... the room she will have has cream carpets... so think i will keep that... and i like the idea of tinkerbell... or disney princesses... but want to do it right!

Aaaaaaw sounds lovely. I'm gonna go with that bedding and the accessories that come with (it has the most beeeaaauuuutiful toybox!!) but her furniture is like light pine with light pink pine doors and drawers so it won't look as dark as it does in the picture and then probs the same like dusky pink walls cos like I like pink but not like sugary sweet pink you know? And yeah probs a creamy/beigey coloured neutral carpet cos there's a rug that matches too that I want so that'll be lost if I have a dark carpet. Ooo and then lots of lovely bits and pieces to bring it all together. It's the little details that excite me the most!! xxx

Yeah I was totally like that when me and FOB moved in together, the dining set was my fave thing to buy I really like that set
I'm soooooo much more excited about getting my house now cos before FOB was being a jerk and being so controlling over how it could be decorated and what furniture we should have and stuff.. and he has really boring taste! But now it's just me and bubs it's gonna be the most girly home ever! I'm thinking a mix of shabby chic, french boudoir and laura ashley style cottage feel throughout the house (obvs in different rooms or would look a bit much ) Can't wait, my mum's buying me a proper fabric covered arm chair as a house warming gift cos I've been obsessing over getting one! xxx

oooh!! your style seems so similar to mine...
i love a bright mediterianian, come simple kitchen...
laura ashleyesqe living room... french boudoir in the boudoir...
but my biggest wish... the bathroom and i am soo happy aaron is allowing me to do this... our ensuite, turning it into a wet room... mosaics all up walls and on floors, and only a glass partition to seperate from rest of room... and cream limestone tiles all up walls in bathrooms... and a must in all bathrooms... spot lights.

DEFINITELY have to do a photo thread!! I love looking at other people's home I'm so nosy lol. And I'm the same I have really specific images in my head! Definitely have a look at BHS home range, I went in a massive one a few weeks back and was amazed by how nice and yet how affordable there stuff was. Especially this whole range of laura ashleyesque stuff. Love it! For bathroom's I'm very into like relaxation/spa feel to it. I love the bathroom here with my mum though, it's only little so we made it a nice cosy bailey's colour and we have wall decals of kio carp and lil pad silohettes over the bath and on the adjacent wall coming up from the bottom there are silohettes of reeds and things with dragonflies and butterflies flying off them. It's so lovely I might just add a pic later haha xxx

We're staying in my OH's room for the forseeable future, until his bother moves out and Finn can be put in his room, then in a couple years we'll get our own apartment.

OH has this bedding, and one of his walls is green and three are brown. We're getting Finn this bedding to go along with it, and we're going to put some sort of tree decal behind the crib.

OMG that's gonna look SO stylish!! And the tree decals a reeeeally good idea. I love decals!! They're so much more interesting than wallpaper lol. But I think it stems from my love of tattoos too cos I always think they're like tattoos for your house x

It's all netural colors but I think she'll like it no matter what!

Yeah and the good thing about that kinda neutral is that it just looks so sweet dressed up with the odd bits of pink or blue here and there so you can make it look right gender-wise either way x

my OH sort of decided our theme, because he went out shopping with his parents and came back with the winnie the pooh bath set & changing mat from mothercare, and I didn't want to start buying things from other collections because it would be all quite mis-matched so we've bought a few other winnie the pooh bits, as well as bears, as it was quite neutral anyway. got a few bits of "i love my bear" from babys'r'us x
