when are you telling people..?

so this is my 6th pregnancy, i have one lil girl luisa x

im really early pregnant atm and so aware anything could happen...

for those of you in same situation when are you telling people, friends family work?

im seeing so many announcements on fb lately and wen someone asks wen they are due its like end sept begining of oct which means they are like 6-8 weeks

i also had a friend tell me she is pregnant the other night on msn and she is due 3 days AFTER me!

i feel bad cos i didnt tell her i was too!

I didn't tell anyone (apart from our parents and my colleagues) that I was pregnant until I had my 12 week scan. Now our siblings know but none of my friends are aware as yet. I had a MMC at 17 weeks (due to a genetic problem), so I wanted to wait until I am a bit further along before making an announcement but not on FB!

this is something im really struggling with at the moment. i am dying to tell people but i think we are going to hang on until we get to at least 8-10 weeks, and then if we are still managing to keep quiet, 12 weeks. To be honest its a lot easier to keep it quiet this time because i have told a handful of close friends already, and my brother and his partner know. So i have people i can talk to about it. there's no way i could keep it totally to myself. before i got pregnant, i used to love going out and getting drunk when i had the chance but obviously not doing that now, my friends would totally suss me out lol.

I've had 2 scans showing a heartbeat, but still can't bring myself to tell anyone. My husband and I spoke about it and he said if all is ok at the 12 week scan we will tell people then. I'm just fed up with telling people and then having a miscarriage, so I understand how you are feeling.

i have told some people... but i think im waiting until i go to the doctor.. i will be 9 weeks then and we will have a peek on an ultrasound.. so after that i think i will make some sort of announcement... we will see...

We waited until 13 weeks, the only people who knew beforehand was my sister and OH's parents. I'm really glad we waited, although it was near impossible sometimes not to blurt it out! It's such a tough call, as every life no matter how small should be celebrated.

I told my sister, mum and best friend when I was 5weeks, I needed them to know incase it happened again, I wanted people I trusted to know so that they could support me and I could talk to them whenever I was worrying (which was very often). My Boss and manager knew then too because I was bleeding and needed time off for appointments. No-one else knew till I was 15 weeks, I had said I would wait till 18 weeks becasue of loss at 17w previously but I was really showing by 14w and couldn't hide it.

Didn't tell anyone (except OH of course) until after 8 week reassurance scan, then told MIL and my boss. No one else until 12 weeks (well, actually I think OH told people at work, but then that's his problem) then I made a fb announcement. I only have 35 friends on fb (all family or friends) so making the 12 week announcement there wasn't an issue. At 14 weeks I wasn't able to hide it any more so told my co-workers.
I think that's everyone actually... It is possible some people I work with only occasionally just think I'm quite fat now.

We have told people who we wouldn't mind knowing if had another m/c (have had four), which in our case is quite a lot of people (as a couple we find it easier to be honest about what we have been through than to hide it).

Not told work - with my first pregnancy just told my immediate line manager after the 12 week scan (got brownie points for telling him early) and let colleagues suss it out (I put on weight all over, so they just thought I was getting fat until about 20 weeks or something!).

All being well hubby and I have agreed not to tell anyone at all until after the 12 week scan. My mum will be the first to know after that. I can't wait to tell her.

Didn't want to tell anyone for a while but my body has other ideas!! I lost 2 stone before I fell pregnant so everyone got used to me slimmer, This is my 5th baby so showing really early (I know its bloating!!). So people have guessed I haven't really told anyone but if they have guessed I haven't said they are wrong but have also explained that because of my mc in december I'm not telling people!!

well...we are having this dilema lol its only been 6 weeks since we lost our little boy so really really dont want to jinx things in anyway so we have decided to try and wait till we have had our 12 week scan...cant see it happening tho...so may just wait as long as possible before telling anyone.

Problem is...since loosing Kasper I have a couple of large glasses of wine whenever we go to MIL's and the more i say i dont want one the sooner she will guess.

Oh well...we shall see lol
