I'll start with a little explanation as to why I'm wondering:

I've been TTC for just over 12 months... Coming in to my 14th or 15th cycle TTC. I have had one :bfp: back in June that lasted about 4days. But as I wasn't TTC (tried the NTNP route :nope:) I tested late and reckon I was nearly 6 weeks pregnant... Last cycle I got back in the TTC saddle but my cycle only lasted 24 days, my LP only 9 days :sad2:

I'm wondering about help because since tracking my cycles for TTC purposes they have ranged from 24 - 35 days... I sometimes spot mid LP, my temperatures are extraordinarily low (36.2 is good for me), I have MC'd AND now I have this 9 day LP... I just don't know what to do

Anyone been to a doc with a similar issue?

Or even if you just would get help if you were me would be a great help ladies!!

:hugs: & :dust:

:hugs: I'm sorry to hear about your loss! :(

I really can only give advice about the LP, definitely tell your obgyn because with an LP under 10 days it's highly unlikely that you will be able to carry the baby (your body doesn't recognize there's an egg trying to implant so your uterine lining gets shed anyway) I went to the Dr and as soon as I said how short my LP was she prescribed me Clomid and it's helped my LP tremendously :) I now sit at about an 11-12 day LP.

:dust: and GL!

Thank you for not reading & running. I am going to go. But it's different here in the Uk - I expect nothing shy of hot coals to get Clomid. Plus in all the 14 cycles this us the first time that my LP has been less than 10 days, officially (I have spotted at less than 10 days but never full blown :af:)

:dust: hope the Clomid works for you :dust:

I would go and talk to your GP too. I left it for nearly 3 years and had to be kicked into it by hubbie who got a sperm analysis done before I even made an appointment!

It was so much better than I thought it would be. She was lovely about it and did some tests etc straight away to prepare for my fertility specialist referral. Don't get me wrong, everything is still just ticking along slowly, but at least I'm doing something about it now. The longer you leave it the longer it will drag on and it honestly really was such a relief to go to the GP.

You've been trying over a year, so I would say go ahead and make that appointment. The kind of treatment that your doctor wants to take (clomid, wait it out, etc) really just depends on the individual doctor. Some don't hesitate to refer you and/or get you some clomid, others move much slower. It all works out in the end though :)

Sorry to hear about your loss hun.

Best advice I can give is get to your GP now. My husband and I did after we had been trying for 13 months. So glad we went and got referred. GP did some blood tests and SA which all came back fine then she was straight on to the fertility Docs to refer us. They have been so nice and reassuring. We got a FS appt about 2 months after our GP referred us.
I have had an internal ultra sound to measure ovaries etc and I have already had my lap and dye (right tube blocked and left ovary slightly polycystic) all within 3 months.

I too spot during my LP and it is at most about 9-10 days but for some reason the FS didn't seem too worried about that.

All the best hun, I hope you get your BFP soon

hi firstbaby
i agree with the others go to ur gp + get the ball rollin. i only went recently after 3 yrs ttc + nw am gettin impatient as although i am under the fs it wil b nearly 4 yrs ttc wen i have my nxt appt. if u get the ball rollin + you have restrictions on length of time ttc b4 any treatment you wil b virtually there.
bt sayin that some areas wil prescribe clomid quite early on + then stall 4 anything like iui etc.
wishin you lots of :dust:
xx

Thanks girls - I think we have differences even within the UK as to treatment never mind across the Atlantic - sometimes I'd rather pay for it as I'd have definitely been by now.

This is the thing because of my MC it's me that I want checked first, I want to know why my cycles range so much and why my temps are seriously low! I'm worried they'll want my OH to do an SA. I'd rather wait til after Christmas to break that news to him :nope:

I hope all your respective courses of action prove successful and you get your :bfp:s
:dust: :dust:

I am in the uk - First of all I'd like to say sorry for your loss hun!
I mc'd at 6 weeks too back in March and I'm still waiting! this is my 12th cycle (nealry coming to an end)
I went to the doctors a while back about a pain I had and thought it might have been ttc related so I told them and I just asked how long do I need to be 'trying' for to come back to ask for help.
He told me that because I was pregnant before that means I CAN get pregnant he doesn't want to see me until 1 year after the MC. So my TTC mark goes from November which should mean I get to go to the doctor and start asking questions but Because my MC was in March I can't go back until at least then!!
Hope that helps - I would go see your doc anyway and see what they say!
Best of luck hun

I agree with the ladies above...I would go to the doc. As soon as I hit 1 year, I went to the doc. Although I had a feeling that I had endo, they noticed that my levels aren't right either, so they are thinking PCOS. I am currently going through a full cycle of blood tests before a diagnosis. I am so glad I went when I did. TTC is really hard the longer it goes. I hope all works out for you!

BTW...I love your turtle stragglers graphic! Turtles are my favorite animal! Did you know that they are a symbol of protection and fertility? Check out this fertility bracelet...I love it. I've asked for it for Christmas!

Thanks everyone. Navy wife sorry to hear your fears were confirmed but like you say at least you are getting help. Can I ask what made you suspect endo?

I've booked for the 25th November! A week Friday. I'm going to make it about my cycles first... I suspect low progesterone due to temps, MC & short LP's.

Thanks! I'm on another thread, they're great but nearly all pregnant and so sometimes my posts fall on deaf ears... But in the end I was just being impatient. Turns out they'd go the doctors :haha:. There's a girl there that makes signatures

I am going to go. But it's different here in the Uk - I expect nothing shy of hot coals to get Clomid.

Me too. I'm sure I said that! Maybe on another thread. I don't want Clomid if I can do it alone...

Thanks for all your replies. Have I mentioned that I am booked in to see my GP next Friday 25th November :happydance:
