Particularly with your first pregnancy? I'm 17 w with my first and even though I still fit into my regular clothes, I feel like if I want to buy anything new it should be maternity stuff... But at the same time maternity stuff seems too big at this point.

Curious about when others started wearing maternity clothes ?

Never. I've never purchased maternity clothes. I never saw the point. If I can fit in my regular clothes (with a belly band or unbuttoned) I didn't see wasting money on any different clothes. And now leggings are my go to atire anyway so leggings and cute sweater tops since I will be bigger in the cool/cold weather.

Yeah I feel like I'm not big enough yet for true maternity stuff and I'd like to avoid it if I can, but I need some new clothes and I don't wanna buy stuff I'm not going to fit in after a few weeks! Lol. Thanks for your response :)

I bought maternity jeans at 14w but only because I wear super skinny and was needing new jeans anyway, I bought two maternity tops but that is all. Everything else I had before pregnancy or I have bought new but isn't maternity. I'm 25 weeks and have a pretty big bump as well.

I am 30 weeks and still fit into most of my clothes. I have found that when I wear regular shirts I look fat but when I put on maternity shirts I look pregnant. I haven't really gotten many maternity items.

I bought one pair of maternity jeans at about 28 weeks, the rest was just leggings and tops in a bigger size :)

I bought a pair of maternity jeans at 14 weeks, and picked up two maternity tops as well since they were on sale and super cheap. I am hoping I won't have to buy anything more, seems like such a waste of money for clothes I'll only wear for a few months, but I was getting uncomfortable in my regular jeans so I had to buy jeans. They are still a bit big on me and I have to pull them up a lot, but now that it's summer I am wearing loose summer dresses and maxi dresses, so once I need to wear jeans I will probably fit into them better. I wear scrubs at work so I will have to invest in some maternity scrubs probably in the next month or so.

While I haven't gaine any weight I find some of my clothes just a bit tight or uncomfortable and same as someone else said, I feel like my tops just make me look bulky. I bought one maternity top, and I am hooked. It's so much more comfortable and I don't feel so self-conscious in it. I am definitely looking to get a few more. Oh and I guess I should mention I am only 14 weeks

First pregnancy I was 30 weeks when I started wearing maternity clothes, second I was around 22 weeks third I was 12 weeks and this one I was 16 weeks..... So a complete mishmash really xxx

just dug up my maternity clothes a couple days ago... so much more comfortable!

I'm 27 weeks and still wearing my old clothes, although DH has conned me into getting a few bits for summer this weekend (think hes feeling a bit guilty lol). I've got a few pairs of maternity jeans but neither pair fit well. I've got quite a big bump this time :).

I only but maternity bottoms because the tops and dresses I have are stretchy. I bought over the bump leggings around 20 weeks as they at such more comfy and have recently bought a maternity skirt and shorts because it's so hot I didn't want anything tight. I'll either keep for next baby or sell after. :)

^^^ I have a big bump this time too. It's my 4th baby. With my first two I didn't wear maternity at all. Also cannot stand jeans when I'm not pregnant let alone now lol :)

First baby I started buying maternity clothes around 14/15 weeks. Second pregnancy I was wearing them by 12 weeks, this time I was in them at 7 weeks... was so bloated that my regular clothes were making it hard to breathe

I'm only buying maternity tops this time though, as I've sworn off pants and only wear stretchy skirts... which fit just fine if I buy up a size or two.

I purchased tops and jeans really early. Everything was still big on me at about 12 weeks but I've been wearing tops and jeans since then.

My bump just came out at 24 weeks so I got a belly band for my pants & shorts and bought 2 pairs of maternity pants. One pair rolls up into capris and folds down into pants, perfect as I'm having an October baby. I can say the maternity pants are much more comfortable and weren't that expensive. Plus you can always sell them at used maternity shops, very much worth the few extra dollars for the comfort!

All of my skirts and wrap dresses fit so there's lots to wear. I didn't want to gain too much weight as it's important to me not to have to lose 30-50 lbs while trying to take care of baby and being fit/eating carefully has helped me keep fitting into most of my wardrobe.

I had to buy a bunch this week at 19 weeks. The main thing I had to buy was pants because my office has a business casual dress code and I needed nice pants, and didn't feel comfortable walking around with a belly band with my pants undone. I'm glad I bought maternity pants because I am SO SO SO much more comfortable in them. I tried to wear a regular pair of pants on Tuesday and ended up sitting at my desk with them unbuttoned and a sweater over my lap to hide my exposed tummy.

I bought a few pairs of maternity leggings about 21 weeks soooo much more comfy in them and am just wearing normal tops that stretch mainly vest tops in this heat

I bought some second hand maternity clothes off kijiji because it was just such a good deal (10 pcs including 4 pants for $20!). But I haven't put on any. My work pants are not comfortable anymore, so I did end up buying pants a size up - just for work.

The other day however, I did decide to put on some maternity leggings. Haha. I felt so silly since I have no real belly yet! It did feel comfortable though...
