When did you start wearing maternity clothes?

I work in a business professional setting so I had to buy maternity dress pants and work dresses. My size 0 fitted skirts were not cutting it around 14 weeks.

As far as casual clothes, I've bought a few empire waist or jersey stretch dresses that I wear a lot but aren't technically maternity. I have bought 1 pair each of jeans, shorts, and yoga pants that are maternity. I bought those between 16 and now, 26 weeks.

My bump isn't that big but all my former clothes are really tight. The only old clothes I can still wear are sweat pants below the bump and a few t shirts.

I actually had to pick up maternity skirts and a couple regular but size up skirts in the 12th week. I'm 6 lbs lighter now than when I had my IVF transfer, but I already started showing and even mild pressure on my pelvis/lower abs is causing me a lot of pain. Doctor says some women just get really sensitive to any kind of pressure in that area. I envy the ladies who get to keep wearing there normal clothes. I really dislike dresses/skirts, but nothing else is anywhere near comfortable at this point. :(

I'm 14 weeks and had to resort to maternity jeans today.

I just came stand any pressure on my tummy and maternity are so comfy.

Just got some bargains from eBay too.

think I was 19 weeks with my first and it was only a pair of jeans, I could still fit in all my normal clothes, just had the button undone.
2nd never wore mat clothing,
this one I will do but that's because my MIL has brought me some jeans.

In my first pregnancy I was easily past 20 weeks before I started wearing maternity jeans. 13 weeks now with my 3rd and still in my pre pregnancy jeans

Im 25 weeks still in my own clothes, I did buy maternity jeans I wear them also. But with weather being hot I am living in leggings☺

I can't wear my little skirts anymore, so I bought a couple stretchy skirts to wear. I haven't been able to do the button up on my jeans since wk 10 or so, so I wear a belly belt with pants. Today I had to buy a bigger bra and maternity briefs lol

I'm over 15 weeks now but still fit into my regular clothes despite having a noticable bump.

I think I'll buy some maternity clothes in the next couple of weeks though as although they still fit, most of my normal clothes are not exactly suitable for pregnancy!

It's super hot here in Seattle (90s) and so I gave in a week and a half ago (at 17 w) and bought two pairs of maternity shorts and light pants. I'm wearing all my non-maternity dresses and skirts, it's just pants/shorts that feel incredibly uncomfortable. Putting on maternity clothes gave me one of those "ahhhhh" moments, as I finally felt comfortable again!

With my son, I was about 20 weeks I think. I was also heavier and not taking care of myself so I needed them. This time, I'm embracing clothes that can be maternity wear but I can also wear after baby; maxi dresses, leggings, flowy dresses/skirts, etc. Plus I'm trying not to gain as much weight this time. It's very frustrating to spend all that money on maternity clothes that you will likely not wear again.

I bought some maternity pajamas around 16 weeks because a lot of my other pajama pants were getting snug around the belly and to me, its just not worth it. I am not that dedicated to staying in "normal" clothes. I want to be comfortable, especially in the evening!

Other than that I've bought some bigger tops and fold over skirts. I purposely bought them too big with the idea I will grow into them, I just pin things now that are much too big. Seems to be working so far, although in the fall I will likely buy at least one pair of maternity dress pants for work. I like skirts, but it gets cold here!

It was between 8 and 12 weeks when I couldn't comfortably button my pants, so I bought a belly band. Then my mother in law took me shopping for maternity clothes, but they are just now (24 weeks) starting to truly fit. The pants still fall down a lot, so I find myself avoiding them and sticking to yoga pants.
