I found i was pregnant with our 2nd baby we were super excited we only tried for one month before i got pregnant at my 12 week apt i found out that the baby stopped growing at aroun 9 weeks and 3 days and there was no heart beat i ended up having a D&C on Aug 14 2015. The loss has been really hard on me as well as my husband but i really want to try again. How long did you wait after a loss? If my doctor aproves i think i want to start trying right away. Has anyone had sucess after a miscarriage with trying right away.

I got my beautiful little girl straight after a miscarriage at 6 weeks. Not advised but I was charting so I knew when I was ovulating and believed my body would let me get pregnant if it was ready.

TTC again was my way of getting over it. I did however wait the recommended 3 months after my first ectopic as it was treated with methotrexate. This time as its surgery it's most about if my body is healed so we'll probably try in October if I feel ready.

did they say why it wasnt advised to try right away after your miscarriage ? I trust my body and that i will get pregnant again with no issues but the anxiety of it all still bothers me a little

I think the main reason is because it's harder to date the pregnancy bevaluate your cycle after a miscarriage isn't always normal. Some people need to give themselves time to get over the mental strain and upset. Do whatever feels right for you, trust your gut instinct. X

Thank you! i think i want to try right away im ready for another baby i just dont want to go through another loss

Hi Jasmine

I am sorry for your loss. I went through the same thing as you back in Dec/Jan. At my 12 week scan on 4th Dec I fond out my little one measured 9+3 with no heartbeat. I had an ERPC on 22nd January.

I was told by my OB/RE, two nurses and a doctor that there is no evidence that you can not TTC straight away.
I am a great believer that if your body lets you get pregnant then it is ready BUT my gut instinct was to wait one cycle. I felt that having a period flushed everything out for me and reset my body. I also never ovulated between my ERPC and first period after. Then I just had a feeling not to try the next cycle and went all out the cycle after. I got my BFP on 2nd May and now I have just had a great anatomy scan at 20 weeks.

For me it was such an emotionally hard time and I didn't start to feel better until I got my BFP. I was keen to get pregnant straight away to help my healing but I really think having those first couple of cycles helped my body recover.

Go with your gut instinct. Big hugs x x

Me too. I think once you have experienced a loss this will be something you will be thinking about all the time anyway so don't let it hold you back. This is a natural fear and when you do get pregnant there is a Pregnancy After Loss group who all know these feelings and can support you all the way.

I've been wondering this same thing. I was confused about what my doctor told me. He said we could try after I get my cycle back, but to wait 3 months. I hear the cycle comes back around 6 weeks normally. I'll have to ask for clarification on that. Part of me wants to try again right away, and the other part says wait a few months.

This is will be coming into our 4th cycle since an Ectopic pregnancy a little over 2 years ago.. Lost my right tube aswell as lil bean at 7wks +3. Really distraught me for quite some time & really didnt want another so soon, so back on the ttc wagon again.. xx
