Curious really. My dd has been pulling to stand since 2 months ago and began cruising 2 weeks after. Since then she has made no attempt to stand unaided. She seems scared even when holding our hands she will just bend her knees to go back down lol!

Does it usually take this long after pulling to stand to stand unaided? Not quite sure as my son was standing unaided by 9.5 months.

Thanks for reading!

My dd1 stood aided at the same time she started walking, she actually took steps before standing unaided. She was 10 months and a few days.
Dd2 stood unaided at bang on 9 months and started walking about a week later.

They both were able to pull themselves up and cruise ages before walking. Dd3 is 7.5months and has just started pulling up and cruising, but I doubt she will walk for another while yet.

Dobt worry, your LO sounds like she is doing great!

DS stood for a short time around the same time he started cruising at 8 months.

Sounds like it's not ability that's wanting with your DD, just confidence to let go. Sounds like she's doing great, probably won't be very long.

DD1 started pulling herself up and cruising at about 9 months but didn't stand unaided til 14months, she walked that same day. I think it was a confidence thing x

My DD stood aided (i.e. pulled herself up) just before 6 months, unaided at 6 months, 3 weeks, and started cruising about 2 weeks after that. She's 8 months today and standing up and sitting down very confidently on her own, and will take steps if you hold her hands, but is showing no signs of independent walking yet...just as well, I'm not ready for her to be a toddler yet! :haha:

They all do it on their own schedule...I keep reminding myself that as I worry because I know of other babies her age who are saying 'mama' and 'dada' to the right parents, and my DD is still just randomly 'dadadadadada'ing to anyone, lol.

dd was standing at 9-10 months and cruising but didn't walk till 13 months.

I don't remember but I feel like it was around the same time as walking.

My daughter was cruising at 8 months, but she didn't stand unaided (as in letting go) until she started to walk at 15 months. She didn't push up to standing, as in not pulling up on furniture first and then letting go to walk, until 16 months. So there can be a lot of variation, even in babies that seem to be pulling up and cruising fairly early. I would just let her do her thing and not try to encourage her to let go. She'll get it when she's ready and comfortable to go.
