My little man is only 6.5wks old so obviously not expecting anything for awhile lol but just wondering whats the best/worst I can look forward too?

never realised how obsessed I would become with counting hours of sleep! Me and my other half treat it like a competition with the winner being the one with the least sleep over a week ;)

I usually win unfortunately :(

10 weeks for me. Hes nearly 1 and still sttn. He never went through any regressions either. It is possible. Good luck x

Around 10 weeks. But then we had the dreaded 4 month sleep regression and she's never STTN since. In fact her sleep is often worse than a newborn!

Oh dear, this scares me. I feel like my LOs sleep has been to good to be true :haha:

Haha! I thought once they STTN they'd continue to do so, but unfortunately not always! :haha:

2.5 years with my son and my daughter is still a work in progress.

LO STTN at 8 weeks, then we had a horrible 2/3 weeks at 4 months where she woke 3/4 times a night (I know it's not really THAT bad, but I wasn't used to it so it killed me!!!), then once a night until about 5.5 months, and since then she has STTN (11/12 hours EVERY night) x

She started STTN occassionally around 6 months and then consistantly started STTN around 9/10 months.

Still not STTN, not even close. But we cosleep so it's not a huge problem for us. Hopefully you'll get there soon!

The 8-10 weeker mums, I like you very much ;) I will pretend that I know already that my LO will do this too so I can keep my sanity!

The other mums who's LO's didn't sleep through for months later I will respectfully ignore ;)

And if anyone replies with their 12 year olds still don't sleep through then I'm leaving!

LO started sleeping through the night once he slept in bed with us at a few months.

We have gone through various phases of sleep patterns. We dropped his through the night bottle around Christmas when he was 5 months but he would often still wake up, not wanted a feed, just a cuddle.
It was easier for us to bedshare with him. We had done it on and off since birth anyway.

Although he sleeps, as what i class as through the night, at almost 10 months, this is him being put to sleep in his cot between 6.30 and 7. Coming in with us at around 11 then up for the day at 5.

around. 9/10. Months it was more consistent. Once or twice a month we will have a rough night.

So it does get better!!

I think that's gonna be me in 11 years time!

DS 1 STTN from around 4 months then stopped at 5 months and didn't STTN again until around 19 months old (thankfully just in time for DS2!)

DS 2 STTN from 10 weeks then stopped at 4 months and now sleeps 6-6.30 until around 3.30-4.30 then up again around 5-5.30 for the day, sometimes he is just up from 4, still not bad at all compared to my DS1 who woke hourly for a looooonggggg time.

Bev, I have to say, you have the BEST attitude! Even if your kid is 12 and not STTN, you'll just get on with it and have some coffee. If only I could be more like you, seriously.

Haha, as long as there is extra strong espresso in the world I will be fine! :coffee: :haha:

At 9 weeks she'd go 12 hours straight, but then at 5 months she started waking once, then twice and during a bad spell three times a night. She's gotten better since, but has only just at 11 months started sleeping 7.30pm ish to 7am, even now she doesn't always and will sometimes wake for a feed a sometime between 4-5.30am.
