When did ur baby in previous or current pregnancy turn where they are facing down as they like for a vaginal delivery? I went for my 26 week check up and he said if she dont turn they will have to do a c section...he said they can try to turn her but they arent sure if maybe her cord may be to short or around her neck...but dont they have a way to check that with ultrasound? SO I know she has time to turn still but kinda freaking out about the cord thing...blah

From my understanding most babies don't turn until 32 weeks. even though some may be head down they still flip flop a lot. You have PLENTY of time and they can check all that via ultrasound!!

You have plenty of time for baby to turn! I wouldn't worry just yet. :) My midwife said they'll only start worrying if baby hasn't turned by week 35/36.. I think my baby turned at the 30 week mark, as that's when I started to feel her kicks higher up. X

Wow, way to go whoever said that to you! It's usually later in 3rd tri when baby tips head down.

My first was head down from practically the beginning. This baby was sideways for a very long time. He finally made his way to being head down around 33 weeks and has stayed that way ever since.

Our stubborn little lady didn't switch until around 34-35 weeks. You still have plenty of time! :flower:

My little man has been sideways with his butt out since my thirteen week ultrasound. He stretches and kicks and moves but he is always in the same position. My doctor mentioned at my appointment on Tuesday that if he stays this stubborn I will end up with a c-section. But he does have time. Call it a premonition or maybe my just being pessimistic, or my being convinced that he is just like my husband but I don't think he is going to cooperate.

DS was head down at about 32 weeks, and this one has been head down the whole time :) you still have plenty of time! Good luck!

Mine didn't turn until 34 weeks...you have lots of time hun...they can still do somersaults and flips for quite a bit longer :flower:

Heaps of time yet. Im not sure why they would even mention that you you just yet. Some babies and be breech at 38 weeks then turn by 39 ( although with the lack of room its probably not that common ) lol
My bub was head down at my 27 week appt and as far as i can tell shes still that way but with all the room she could still roll back around. All my babies have gone head down early though and stayed that way.

One of my twins didn't turn Until the last two weeks before they were born. He was breech at my 34 week scan so they scanned again when I came to hospital (36+1) when I was in labour and sure enough he had turned head down, 18 hours later they were born. I'd say no worries at all, if mine had space with a second baby to turn then yours has plenty of time and space.

My eldest was breech until 36 weeks exactly! I felt her turn during the part of my antenatal class where we were being told about a normal delivery! My 2nd was head down from around 28 weeks. At a scan to check on the position of my placenta at 32 weeks she was head down and engaged enough that we couldn't get a picture of her head!
Beca

Mine was head down at 17 weeks and my firstborn at 26 weeks! How odd for your doctor to say this. Plus even breech babies may turn right before birth...there are even Yoga positions and excercises to help baby turn. Nothing is lost unless the baby won't turn in labor! Have a look at the site "spinning babies".
