This is my first pregnancy so it's all new to me. Just wondering when the AF type cramps go away? I realize that there will be stretching and whatnot through out the pregnancy but the AF cramping makes me a little nervous. Are your cramps still like this or did the sensation/location change? Thanks all.

I started having some AF type cramps between 4-5 weeks, but they were on and off, not constant, and never severe. I also had a lot of lower back soreness with them too.

I'm 6 weeks now, and haven't had much cramping at all anymore. I have read it's normal to have light cramping throughout the entire pregnancy though. As long as they're not severe cramps and there's no bleeding, I wouldn't worry about it.

Actually I barely had AF type cramps.. Guess I'm lucky!
I read alot of girls get AF type cramps though, so don't worry!

I have had cramps from 6 weeks nearly every day, and had some very sharp pains too. All quite normal...Still get them.

i had one today not had one for a while. Guess im having a growth spurt.

so glad to read this i am just 4 weeks today (got bfp on thurs) so am new too and been worrying about these slight weird pains and everytime i go to the loo my hearts in my mouth incase there's blood!!!

I`ve had them almost everyday up until 16-17 weeks and they stopped. They were mild tho.xx

Having some pretty bad cramps for the past 3 days, they are there all the time but range from uncomfortable to painful, but no bleeding so far. PRAYING that this will turn out to be totally normal! I am just over 4 weeks, and having blood work done on Monday and Wednesday.

I get both af type cramps and little stretchy pains pretty much all the time. I find it reassuring now as it means that my uterus is doing its thing!

I'm having them too and i think were exactly the same - date wise. lets keep in touch about our symptoms xx

I am also having them and a bit of a stabbing pain in the left ovary type area atm. I remember having AF cramps with all of mine but a few months back i had a m/c and now i am just worrying about it. Saying that, i had no pain with it..just bleeding then.

I've had them pretty bad for over a week now. I don't remember much of my early pregnancy last time, but I don't think I've had this much.

Thank you ladies for answering my question, I really appreciate it. I felt the cramps so much less today. I was worried it would be more since I went to the gym but it was actually less.

Bumblebeetle- I'm about a week ahead of you. Congratulations hon!!

I still have mild and some times some sharp pains. Im 9weeks right now. I remember when I was pregnant with my twins I had stretching pains until I was about 20 weeks, but with just one baby in their I have no idea how long it takes before they go away.

I read somewhere that drinking lots of water can ease cramping, but it actually seems to do the opposite for me, I think it is when i have a full bladder it hurts most, but thought I would share that anyway?

Glad that they gym seemed to ease yours ttc.

Cramps have changed for me today, feeling pinchy and like the front of my uterus is being pulled down. Had a little spotting too so praying all is well.

Continued good luck to you all. I am 4w 3 days today!

Mine began to lessen a bit after about 6 weeks or so. I still get these mild stretching pains if I've been sitting for too long or when I sneeze, make sudden movements, etc.

Edit: I'm now 9w2d if that helps.
