Hi ladies!
I am hoping to EBF when baby arives.
But i dont wanna do it for some time then transfer to formula milk i want to do it for aslong before baby can have normal milk and i dont know when that is?

I am planning to be pregnant again soon after baby arives and i hear some peoples milk dry up so decided to wait till im near the end of bf the little one before getting pregnant again.

Any info is helpful thank you!

Babies can't have cows milk as a main drink until they are 12 months, but it's fine to have a small amount in food when you start weaning at 6 months :flower:

Thanks kelly! I am so clueless! So if i wean at 6months what will they drink instead of cowsmilk? Does this mean i have to carry on bf? I just dnt want milk to dry up if i get pregnant with nxt baby x

Yeah if you don't want to switch to formula at 6 months you'll need to carry on breastfeeding until 12 months, there are some ladies on her who are BFing whilst pregnant so they can probably offer you more advice. Your milk may not dry up if you're pregnant, I guess it's one of those things where you don't know how your body will respond to that situation until the time comes.

Another thing, if you're exclusively BFing you may find it difficult to fall pregnant within the first 6 months or longer as breastfeeding can delay your cycle kicking back into action. Again this doesn't happen to everyone and there are always exceptions but most women don't get their period back for a good few months
