When does baby drop?

I keep hearing about baby "dropping"--when does baby "drop" and is it obvious? Does baby always drop?

they say approx 37 weeks, h0wever my Ob told me on monday that if its ur second or third child it may not drop to possibly one day, one hour or even just as ur going into labour! my baby has not dropped yet - its my 3rd - but he/she is head down and in my pelvis xoxo

what she said ^^^ around 36wks onwards, some babys drop earlier.x

They drop when they feel like it.....usually after 36-37 weeks, sometimes not until actual labor. No, it isn't always noticeable.
