When does HCG leave your body after MMC & D&C?

It's been almost 8 weeks after my MMC at 10 weeks (baby stopped growing at 7.5). I had my D&C on April 17th. I took a test on a whim today at my friend's house and we both saw a faint line, is it possible this is a new pregnancy? I didn't even think to take a picture of it. I've had a little cramping and back pain but no sign of af. The only thing I've had since I stopped bleeding after the d&c was two faint streaks of blood 6 days after my husband & I had intercourse a little over 2 weeks ago.

Hi there hun...sorry to hear of your loss ...I'm not 100% sure if hcg could still be in your system from your MC hopefully someone else will answer that for you shortly...did you do a beta test at all to see if your numbers had gone back to normal after d&c or did you do hpts to check they were back to neg ? Either way...I'm wishing you the best of luck and hope this is a new sticky pregnancy for you x GOOD LUCK !!

I got a bfn two weeks after my d&c. Did you have a follow up exam to make sure there was no remaining tissue?

I would treat yourself as if you're pregnant and take those precautions. It is absolutely possible! Fx!!!

Thanks for the input ladies =) I did not test out my hcg, or have a beta done. The doctor didnt test me for that any of that at my follow up at 4 weeks, and he also didn't give me a check up. I hope I passed all the tissue though. I'm going to test again Thursday and hopefully the line gets darker.

Mine took forever...i didn't have anything retained but it took 3 afs, the last of which was very heavy and painful to get my hpt to negative. I was seeing the super faint line for 11 weeks or so and it was so frustrating. I had d&c early Feb and by end of May it was finally bfn. Rubbish!!! I chart though and was still ovulating but it was just a crappy reminder. Most people are bfn faster than this though so hopefully yours is a new baby! Keep us updated!

I also had a MMC at 10 weeks. It took me 4.5 more weeks before I tested at a HCG level of 5. Hope that sheds a little light. It's really going to vary from person to person though. But 8 weeks seems like it would be a very long time for it to be from your MMC. Good luck to you!

Thank you the input. I caved and tested again this morning and another faint line, I'm wondering if I'm just imagining it, I know I def saw one yesterday though, but it took forever to come up, but before 10 mins. I hate this and of course all my friends except for one is pregnant now.

I have recently lost my baby at 19 weeks I had to give birth and have a d&c my levels are back to normal did a pregnancy test today and it was negative and an ov test gave a negative to xxxx finger crossed for you hun

I had a Missed MC at 11 weeks, everything had stopped at 6 weeks. I took misoprostol on may 15th. Passed quiet a bit of tissue. I have been having weekly HCG's, June 11th, my hcg was 9. My midiwfe consulted with MD and decided i should be in the clear. I just started spotting yesterday, so im guessing this is the remaining stuff from the MC. Hoping to see AF in the next 4-5 weeks, then be able to start trying again after first AF.
Call your doc and ask for a blood test.

Well I'm getting a little worried about the HCG not leaving my body fully. I haven't really felt pregnant, but took another test this morning and it was another faint bfp. I expected a much clearer BFP, but I did drink some coffee and pee a lot, so we shall see on Sunday morning. Hoping I can surprise hubby on Father's Day!
