When feeding do you give baby the bowl??

What do you all do when it's feeding time. Do you give baby the bowl and let them get on with it or do you just hold the bowl and feed with a spoon as you know it will end up on the floor!!

What I'm doing to try and get Violet used to the bowl is put it on her tray with her food but don't actually put the food in it...


Problem is though, she tries eating the bowl and then moans because she can't get anything off of it like she can with the food

i just hold it and feed her
occasionally i give her the spoon and see
what she does but she has the tendancy
to throw things i only use a bowl
for breakfast i just put finger food on the tray

I give Ruby a pre loaded spoon and I figure she'd eat what's on it if she wanted it. I don't put a bowl anywhere near her it'd go straight on the floor!

Ellis is more interested in the bowl than the food so finger food is put on the tray to eat!! If his meal is from a bowl I feed him but I always make sure he has a spare spoon!

I just hold the bowl as it would be waaaaaay too messy! I think Im gonna start giving her the spoon though soon.
