when is the right time to switch to ERF carseat?

James is 19 or 20 lbs. now.
In my car he uses his carseat he has used since he was a newborn.

When he visits my parents they have a ERF carseat.

I don't know if its the time to switch or not.

And if so, what seat would you recommend

My LO switched just before 9 months, about 2 weeks ago! Her infant carrier was up to 13kg, but she really didn't like being so laid back anymore, she loves her new seat coz its a lot more upright and she can see everything better!

River was pretty big so we switched at 6/7 months

I switched Connor at 6 months.

We switched Carter at about 9 months. I would highly recommend the Graco Myride 65, we love it. Also with the sales at Babies R Us you can get one pretty cheap. I got mine for $130, but with sales I recently got one for my mom for $88!!

Roo was about 11 months. She still had plenty of room in her infant carrier, but the ERF seat meant she was more upright and able to look out the window etc.
